I have been having issues since yesterday morning. I can’t log into Battle net. I have gone through all the troubleshooting steps (including advanced), yet I still can’t get it to work. Now (after deleting the battle net tools folder) I can’t connect to patch server.
My internet is working fine for everything else, including other games.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hey MrCuddlyPoop,
Are you seeing an error code/message? If so, what do the error code/message specifically say?
Also, which troubleshooting steps are the ones you referred to as the ones tried?
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried the following troubleshoots:
-Reset your network devices
-If you’re using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection
- Update your drivers to resolve any compatibility issues.
- Release and renew your IP and flush your DNS
- Try closing background applications
- Delete the Battle net Tools folder
After all that I am now getting error code: Error Code: BLZBNTBTS00000028 (We can’t connect you to the Blizzard patch service. Please check your internet connection and try again.)
and have tried all of these since getting that code:
- Update your drivers
- Try closing background applications
- Disable or temporarily uninstall any security programs
Cheers
Thank you for posting the info. I do have some additional steps to try that can help fix error BLZBNTBTS00000028. First double check the date and time on the computer and make sure it is correct.
• Please run the Blizzard App with the Run as Administrator option.
• Please power cycle the network equipment.
• Make sure the Firewall in the computer and router is set up correctly.
• Please run a full scan of the computer with an security program.
Thanks for all your help Eloemaz. I have discovered it is my internet connection aftertaking my laptop to a friends place.
Will work it out with my provider and let you know if the issue persists.
Thanks
