I have a problem. I cant install or update any game because it keeps saying “Waiting on another update” YET there is NOTHING ELSE updating?!?!?!? My first problem was that I couldnt load the game due to a “game connection failed . . . retrying” loop. So I thought I’d uninstall and reinstall MAYBE that would fix the problem, because no one on the forums for 11-12 hours had anything to say. So now, here I am stuck on a waiting for an invisible game to update or whatever it is?? This is killing my BP progress for 3, no wait 4 days now. HELP ME OUT HERE, JEEZ.

There may be an issue with your Battle.net app which could be preventing the game from installing or updating. Try a clean reinstall of the Battle.net app:
- In Windows 10 go to Start → Settings
- Click on Apps
- Uninstall the Battle.net app
- Press Windows key + R
- Type the following into the Run window and hit Enter: %APPDATA%
- Delete the Battle.net and Blizzard folders inside the appdata folder if they exist.
- Repeat steps 4-6 with %LOCALAPPDATA% and %PROGRAMDATA%
- Lastly reinstall the Battle.net app
Just did all that and Im still “waiting on another update”. Edit: started installing now its stuck at 202.93 MB @ 6.35MB/s for a good half hour. 2nd Edit: Install of Overwatch 2 was successful, but now launching the game all I get is a loop of “Game Server Connection Failed… Retrying”
The behavior you’re describing sounds like gaming is throttled on the network you’re using. Whether that’s on the router, the modem, the ISP in general, can’t say for certain.
