Can't Go Into FullScreen. Tried Everything

Ever since an windows update im unable to go into full-screen mode.
Only windowed or border-less. IT just Reverts back to window if i try to put it back.

I’ve tried Right Alt-Enter. it just reverts.

I’ve tried editing Settingsv0 (WindowMode = “0” FullscreenWindow = “1”
FullscreenWindowEnabled = “1”) It just ignores it, and goes back to "WindowMode = “2"” and everything else zero.

I’ve tried making the file read-only. It just Ignores anything i changed.

I’ve tried doing a repair. Nothing.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No results.

I Tried reverting the windows update. No results.

I have tried updating my video card drivers (1060 6gb). No results.

I’ve tried going to Nvidia control panel and change scaling to full screen and overriding games scaling settings. And Nothing

This is the only game that is doing this, everything else works fine brand new.
I’m getting awfully Frustrated, Tired and Desperate.
Please is there anyone who has had this issue and can help me or anyone who works for blizzard that knows a fix.
If not can i have my money back.

Insider update? If so, it’s not compatible with Overwatch it seems. But you can rollback.

I already tried reverting the update, it didnt do anything

Hey Shovel,

I have seen this with past Windows updates before. When that happened temporarily lower Windows resolution has helped.

  1. Right click on the desktop
  2. Selective Display Settings
  3. For Windows 10 click on Advanced Display Settings
  4. Lower the resolution and click Apply
  5. Launch Overwatch and change to fullscreen
  6. If Overwatch does launch close it and then change Windows resolution back.
