I can’t press play on my battlenet launcher its greyed out.
I have a phone attached to my account.
I’ve relogged
restarted bnet
restarted pc
forced closed down on task manager and restarted
Still greyed out eith Overwatch will be back on October 4 2022 PT
Game version is 2.1.0.1.105995

I have this too but it doesn’t seem common compared to the other issues people are reporting.
Overwatch is installed and Battlenet knows it’s there but I cannot press the “Play” button on the launcher. When you mouse over it, it states: “Overwatch will be back on October 04, 2022 PT”
I’ve done a scan and repair but it’s the same.
When I go to the Overwatch folder I can launch “Overwatch.exe” manually but after entering the log in details, the main screen loops between:
“Searching for game server…” and “Game server connection failed… Retrying.”
I know there are connection issues for people but I’m wondering if launching OW manually and not through Battlenet might cause additional connection problems?
UPDATE: Shortly after posting the above, the main screen now states: “In queue, 30000 players ahead of you”
So launching it manually doesn’t seem to be a problem.
It’s happening to me too. I’ve even tried launching the application directly from the folder and it doesn’t work. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps too. nothing works

So I fixed this by uninstalling battlenet and downloading and installing it again. Note that you don’t have to uninstall Overwatch, just the battlenet launcher from the control panel.
Unfortunately, servers are still hit and miss.
