Hey everyone,
I want to change the audio output to a different sound device other than default playback, but Overwatch will not save anything I change it to other than Default Device. Any ideas as to what’s going on?

Thanks for the suggestion lethal. I would use that workaround but since I stream, changing the windows default audio device would not work based on the setup I have going.
Another thought was to use the Windows Mixer app and change the Overwatch app to the device I want it set to (which does work), but the problem here is that it routes both the game sound and chat sound to the device, which I want to keep those separated.
This is also the problem with audio switcher it looks like.
Ugh. I’ve even tried reinstalling Overwatch all together. It USED to route to the device I selected but for whatever reason this problem started last night.

same issue. From a quick survey, it seems like this problem has been here for months… No known solutions yet.

Same issue just popped up for me. Voice chat was working fine a week or 2 ago and now when I try to use voice chat the chat comes thru my speakers and nothing seems to change it, Playback device stuck on default. I can change my device in windows but i only want OW2 voice on my headset not youtube or whatever I have playing also to come thru headset. OW2 has been such a buggy mess.
