I wanted to play today but for some reason i get an unexpected server error everytime i load up. has anyone got a fix for this or is it not on my end

I’m also having the same issue which is weird because I was playing most the day and it started that night

Same here. Its related to account merge, and is an account problem, not a server problem. That means you’ve just got to wait. There are a number of people saying to try this and that, and none of it works. Check back next weekend and hopefully it works by then.

I was playing for about an hour after the maintenance ended, but this morning it wont let me in on any platform.
When I was on during the day it said my account was merged and everything was good there so that doesn’t really track
Okay, you can also spend 3 hours researching to come to the same conclusion as your peers, or just take my word for it. I dont care.
I’m just saying if I can’t get on because of the account merge why was mine already good I’m confused on that

The “fix” last night introduced an and error in the account system that seems to be targeting players who have merged a PC and console account.
Even players like myself who havent encountered this error until last nights maintenance are now locked from the game.
Starting a brand new account seems to work if you just want to play. As of yet a work around has not been found to fix the LC-208 unexpected error. As the above posted you can spend hours looking ito it to get this same info.

having the same problem today.
have been unable to login on xbox whole day (LC 208)
…everything has been working more or less fine until today. The last few days I did get some queues and crashes here and there.
Since today I am no longer able to login at all and get instant DC whenever I try to log in.
Error code is LC 208.
same I have already merged my account the day the game out and was playing for 2 days but now for some reason this morning it says i cannot load into the game as of the Lt-208 witch dosnt make sense as every single one of my friends can play but not me
Don’t think this is it. My accounts have been merged since prior to launch and I’ve been abel to play (albeit intermittently when I can log in). This new issue is…new (for me at least).

No problem. There is no official reasoning behind this or acknowledgement yet. The playerbase has figured out those seem to be the accounts that are effected. Also it doesnt seem to be region locked. Ill give you a list of what does NOT work to fix the issue. Hopefully save you headache.
These dont work
-Un-linking accounts
-Re-linking accounts
-Resetting system
-Resetting internet in any manner
-Signing in and out of account
-Purging Cache data on console
-Switching region
-Uninstall and Reinstall the game

is there any time that they are gonna fix it or just gotta make us wait for 1 week or more cause how bad overwatch 2 does anything
So far only a single dev has commented on the issue and it was on reddit i believe. He suggested they are aware it is an account issue and may take longer than expected to fix.
No official source has a post or ETA on a fix. Nor have they posted ackowledging it as an ongoing issue.
The 3 places to check are /Overwatch on reddit as they seem to be savy about when things happen. Blizzard CS on twitter and Overwatch on twitter.
