After the update, I cannot get past the loading screen. I was playing just fine until this update. Tried diagnostic tool and also reinstalled the game, but none of it fixed the issue. I cannot enter any game mode, including tutorial and practice range. Any suggestions?
This code should help you. It’s just a battlenet
–tank_WorkerThreadCount 1
Which code? and where do I put it?
Open the battlenet va in game settings. choose the part of additional arguments and add the code to it.
Sorry for the awful English. I’m using the translator
Can confirm, this worked for me.
I had to put the code in, then start up, close out, remove the code, and try again. (EDIT: I had to put it back in)
Here is another post on it.
That worked for me. Thank you Nagashi and Jimmy.
For those of you who are experiencing same issue, select Overwatch from left panel -> click Options -> select game settings from drop down -> click on additional command line arguments -> copy and paste “–tank_WorkerThreadCount 1” without the quotation mark. It is two “-” in front, not one. This post somehow takes away one “-” from the code.
I’m happy to have helped you.
This code fixed my problem, thanks
Hi!
Is this the issue where the game is stuck on the map loading screen and you get kicked for inactivity?
Because if so, this happens to me too. Sigh The same bugs that I’ve dealt with in the past are coming back since the Ashe patch.
Anyway, this happens every time after I start up Overwatch so I’ve been running the Scan & Repair multiple times and it keeps fixing it. So apparently, this line of code will help? Will try it the next time the game pulls this bug on me, thanks
Yes, you are experiencing the same bug i did. The code will fix it, BUT make sure you put two dashes without spaces (- -) not just one (-) at the start
Thank you!
Started up the Blizz client to do this but there’s a new patch now, effectively dedicated to fix the bugs I’m experiencing. (Device lost and this.)
If it doesn’t fix it then I’m definitely trying this workaround. Thanks!
