Hello, I faced a problem with my current Overwatch 2 competitive rank. This has happened to me twice now! My rank would be gold 5 then I finish my 7 wins and for some reason, it shows that my current rank is silver 5 and I get promoted to silver 1. The second time it happened, it was the same exact issue. When I get to gold 5, I finish my 7 wins and get the promotion animation and it shows that my rank is silver 5 then it promotes me to silver1 again. It seems like I cannot get out of gold 5 for some reason! I even won 4 times in a row to finish the rank up and still got demoted to silver 5 then promoted to silver 1 in the same animation. I am pretty sure this is a bug of some sort, I tried to open a ticket for this issue but I keep getting referred to the bug report forums.
I am having a similar issue. I was plat 5 & then won 7 games. I was shown the rank up screen, sounds, and animation, but the rank did not change and I am still plat 5.
The same thing happened to me. I was gold 5 and it showed that I was promoted from Silver 5 to Silver 1.
That is because your rank didn´t change during these 7 wins, because you probably lost during these wins some matches. Try to imagine it like the old sr or like other games ranking mode, where you gain points from winnig and lose points by losing games.
This Also Happened To Me , I Just Won 7 Games As Gold 2 And Lost 1 And Suddenly Im Down At Gold 4
I had the exact same thing happen to me last night. After finishing my 7 wins at gold 4 it showed my rank change from silver 5 to silver 1.
