Cannot connect to OW on PS4 but can connect to OW on PC using the same internet settings

Hey there. So the issue I’m having is not being able to connect to OW on PS4, but for some reason, I am able to connect to OW on my PC.

I am using the same ethernet cable going directly from the wall to the PS4, and it won’t let me in. It gets stuck on “entering game” and then gives me error “LC-202”. When I attempt to log into OW on PC, I have absolutely no problem.

Here is a list of things I have tried in order to troubleshoot.

Closing the OW application and reopening.
Tested my connection in the settings, Test Internet Connection. I have a connection with Nat Type 1 and around 10 Mbps download and upload. I know this is pretty slow but I’ve played OW on this speed with no issue. Also worth noting, all other games on my PS4 work just fine. Rocket League, Apex, and Fortnite.
Turned off PS4 and unplugged ethernet cable for at least a minute to Power Cycle network device. Although I have a Router, I connected straight from the ethernet wall port to the PS4 to avoid any potential Router issues.
After doing some research online, I saw a post that said it might be the Blizzard account not connecting to PS4. I disconnected it from my account and reconnected it, but it gave me the same “LC-202” error.
Ran a Looking Glass Test through PS4 Internet Browser to OW and I personally didn’t find any issues with the MTR, Traceroute, and ping test.
Uninstalled and reinstalled OW overnight and throughout the day. Tried to log in but still nothing. All other games work fine and I can log into OW on PC, but still not connecting on PS4. Same LC-202 error after getting stuck for around 10 seconds at “entering game”
Tweeted at BlizzardCS. Recommended some things I’ve tried but also to do a DNS flush which I did on my PC and PS4 by turning PS4 off and unplugging the power cable. Still nothing.
Ran a WinMTR on PC as BlizzardCS recommended for at least 5 minutes. Will post those results at the very bottom.
Ran another Looking Glass Test through PS4 Internet Browser to OW. I have screenshots of the results but don’t know how to post them. I do think I saw some issues this time, or maybe I just didn’t catch them the first time. Tried Looking Glass Test on PC for OW and found an asterisk on Traceroute and seems like a bad ping. I’m not entirely sure how to read this. I did the best I could from the information given on the website.

I gave Port Forwarding a try. Created a Static IP address for my PC and PS4 following these steps carefully
Static IP Windows 10: https:/ /portforward.com/networking/static-ip-windows-10.htm
Static IP PS4: https:/ /portforward.com/networking/static-ip-ps4/
Used a Static IP for PS4 outside the DHCP range at first but didn’t work so I used one within the range.
Then I logged into my router and added custom service for PS4, added the TCP and UDP mentioned in the Static IP PS4 link to the IP of the PS4. Got internet connection and NAT Type 2 as the guide says I should have, but I continue to have the issue of getting stuck in “entering game” and getting LC-202
Turned off for a minute and turned on PS4. Still has same static IP address. Added TCP ports 80, 1119, 3724, and 6613 (even though I believe these are for PC as seen here: https:/ /us.battle.net/support/en/article/7842?utm_source=Internal-TechForum&utm_medium=Posting&utm_campaign=BlizzardCS&utm_content=solution) to PS4 forwarded ports. Restarted PS4 and still nothing.
Realized I still had BattleNet open on my PC. Closed it, turned off PS4 for a minute, and tried logging into OW again. Still nothing.
I don’t believe I should change the IP address of the router one to a static one, right? I didn’t see anything like that mentioned in any of the guides.

So as you can see, I have tried a whole BUNCH of things to try and get OW on PS4 to work again. I really don’t understand what’s happening. It especially confuses me how it can work on PC but not on OW. Does it have to do something with my account that I can’t see? Somebody, please help! I’ve spent so much time on this and it’s so frustrating. Even if I have to be on a phone call and do all the troubleshooting steps 1 by 1, I don’t mind. I just want to get OW to work again on my PS4 :(((((

Maybe some simple method might help:

Have you tried using windows trouble shooting thing in the network setting on the connection you’re using? Sometimes that helps.
Disable or uninstall protection services like firewalls or AV.
Factory reset the router (usually the pinhole somewhere on the router)
Admin CMD > enter " sfc /scannow " and restart after it’s done. Has helped a friend that had issues on the PC pooping on some games.

Sharing your router model might help solving the issue. Some routers just ain’t that nice to us gamers.

Gonna give them a try. The router model is Netgear WNR2000v5

The windows troubleshooting didn’t detect any problems since my PC is connected to the internet just fine.
My AV has “Smart firewall” but it hasn’t affected anything on PC. I can still log into OW just fine and play without any issues whatsoever.
I’ll try factory resetting the router tomorrow as it’s getting late for me now.
What does “sfc /scannow” do?

Wait, i missread your issue. I tought your pc can’t connect, but it’s your PS4… kek

Google this “How do I add a custom port forwarding service on my NETGEAR router?”

or check what firmware your router is on. The newest verison is from the 26. September 2018 called Version 1.0.0.70. Maybe an update will fix everything.

Or maybe your PS4 online sub expired? heh.

Also sfc /scannow scans your system for missing or damaged drivers/files crucial to the operation of the system. Sometimes games won’t launch because a .dll is mission or corrupted and sfc /scannow is an easy fix for that.

I actually used this website that a Blizzard forum linked to to create a custom service. Adding a space between the // after the https so it’s an easy copy and paste for you since I can’t post links here apparently. https:/ /portforward.com/netgear/wnr2000/v4/
I used v4 since the website didn’t have v5 but it’s the same model, just one version before and the UI is similar.
My router is on Firmware 1.0.0.18. Checking the Netgear website, it does seem like I’m outdated. Gonna update that.
My PS4 sub is definitely still good lol. Other online games work fine.
And ahh that’s a cool cmd. Never knew about that
