If I prompt that I have my Ult ready, pay attention to my position and USE YOURS.
This tickles my funny bone

I usually find itâs the other way around more often than not. Youâll all have damage ults, all be in perfect position. Grav goes out, catches all of the enemy team and your team just sits and admires the visual effects.
Same for EMP, you get everyone and your team is just âoh look at that pretty light showâ.
Yes, because Zarya is the ultra-mobile hero that can get to Genji or Tracerâs position in a fraction of a second, ignoring everyone in her way.
Maybe the onus should be on you, dear DPS player, to stay in position and make sure youâre ready to capitalize on her ult. Even better, work to create the ideal conditions for Zaryaâs ult by de-meching that DVa so that she doesnât eat the Grav or other ults.
Half the time what happens to me is that I am lining up to ult with a teammate, but in the split second between me launching the Grav and my teammate getting in thereâŠthey die.
Yeah , because we need to pay attention to you
zarya: âmy ultimate is ready!â
genji: âiâm in Africa having a bbq!â
Indeed. Pretty much a call to PAY ATTENTION to what your teammates have and what they are doing.
How about you pay attention to your zarya, there is a reason she isnât using her ult
Maybe you should use voice comms to set up an ultimate combo with zarya. Instead of expecting them react perfectly to you pressing z, or whatever keybind you use to promt ult.
It sure sounds like your laziness is the main issue.
Zarya: Fire at will!
Genji: ç«ç„ăź- BLEEEEEARGH!
More like you should pay attention to the Zarya, Graviton isnât worth using if youâre not getting at least half the team in it.
Lets be honest, zarya is the only hero that checks ult. Pay attention to HER, team. Its literally her thing.
Exactly my sentiments olâ chap
I communicate to my teammate that I have my ult and that I am interested in a combo when I get back as I am currently on my way back to the fight from spawn.
Then they use their ult when I am only halfway there.
You follow Zarya, Zarya doesnât follow you.
Hold onto your ult and let him/her set up the engagement for you. If youâre pushing them because youâre too antsy to press Q, thatâs your problem, not theirâs.
Half the time, setting up a good Grav is about waiting for the right moment to throw it. Just because YOUâRE ready, doesnât mean itâs a good Grav opportunity.
Take a seat and let your tanks do their job.
I agree wth your overall point, but there are things Zaryaâs team can do to help her be able to use it. Usually sheâll hold onto grav because there multiple things that can nullify it, from DM eating the ult itself to the presence of a full health Rein barrier or a Zen who has Trans.
It would be pointless for Zarya to drop Grav in front of Rein and waste not just her ult but your DPS ults as well. So unless the team can bust his barrier, demech the Dva, or kill the Zen first, sheâs absolutely right to hold it. Sometimes the player misjudges or tunnel visions and itâs totally his/her fault.
I donât disagree with you though, a lot of people are very lacking in awareness. But these are some tips I can give as a Zarya player to help with the âZarya wonât ultâ problem when you have one on your team.
theres nothing more annying then seeing your zarya gravs and then the dpsâs too slow to reach itâŠ
sometimes the zarya is mistaken for using grav with no ult to follow up, sometimes the dps are wrong for seeing the zarya has 90%+ grav and still just randomly ult.
Shut up Z, Iâm gonna finish this line if it kills me âJustic-BLARGHâ
