Can you tell me unironically what is good about OW2

And please leave out things like ‘we are getting content again’ because that is beyond bad. Every single new game gets content and that goes without saying.

I’ve been playing for a few days now, since I was unable to log in earlier due to servers, and I honestly hate every single new thing we recievied, you name it.

  • improved graphics are worse (splash)
  • optimization is worse
  • aiming feels worse
  • 5v5 feels worse - like we play cs go on crack
  • tanks are overpowered and if they die 1st the fight is instantly lost
  • balancing is worse
  • battlepass is terrible even with premium
  • new heroes are barren
  • new maps are barren
  • balanding is atrocious
  • competitive changes are terrible 7W20L
  • matchmaker is terrible
  • amount of major bugs is terrible
  • customer support reply speed is terrible
  • features like LFG are even gone
    EDIT: - support feels incredibly bad, frustrating and unrewarding to play

Unironically, what is there to like ?

And to those whose reply would be something within the lines of
‘Dont play then, play something else’ - I have played the game for years - from nearly OW1 launch, and I will keep playing, but adding 2 to a name of game has to be an improvement, this doesnt look like an improvement. It looks like abomination, even though its early launch.

The only things better from my perspective is faster load times, HDR, 120fps for PlayStation, and less CC.

That’s literally it and they could have been implemented in OW1

Edit: better netcode too. Hovered around 65ms ping in ow1 and can reach as low as 47ms in ow2

The guns sounds so nice. Ahh, so satisfying to fire your weapon as S76 and Cassidy.

Orisa is really fun to play.

The ping system is pretty handy.

I do like the push mode and some of the new maps.

I would say that this game made me so depressive that I actually returned seeing my psychologist because of things that happened in my life, which is a good thing

Uh, this game is also so anti-fun that it took all my fun from me and dropped it away like trash, so now I have time to play another games

The gameplay is good. Been having plenty of fun.

Pretty much everything else feels unfinished though.

Cree does feel better I agree, but soldier gun sounds like lego brick bastion skin if you ever tried it. Its one of the worse gun sounds IMO along with widowmaker one.
But reminds me too that I also dislike gun volume since now we cant hear footsteps anymore while firing.

if tanks died in ow1 first you would also lose the fight lol?

Nothing is really good about OW2. Most of us are just holding on to our favourite past time hoping for a better future.

also its jsut overwatch 1 so things i liked about that game still mostly apply

I like support better in 5v5, I like the maps because they force awareness and aren’t just press W and zone, I like tanks being more active roles, I like the hero redesigns and new interactions, I like not shooting at shields all game, I like not being stuck at the same choke all game, I like Kiriko, and I like that overwatch is a popular topic again. Oh and the long system.

Really the only thing I don’t like is the shop situation and the BP is fine.

Its amazing the amount of things you got wrong lol.

  • Graphics are indeed better
  • Optimization is basically the same
  • Aiming is the same, you just have to tweak options
  • 5v5 is better
  • Tanks will be more balanced and easier to design
  • Balancing is better
  • BP is a good deal, whether you like it or not
  • New heroes are good
  • New maps are good too
  • You are just repeating yourself here, and still wrong
  • Competitive changes are “meh”
  • MM is literally the same lol
  • Amount of major bugs is the same or less than OW1 lol
  • Customer Support is literally the same lol
  • Sure LFG gone matters “somehow” now. Cool.

Now after debunking most of your overexaggerated statements, the real meat:

  • Faster and less forgiving games.
  • Scoreboard
  • Ping System

There you go. And those 3 are factually better than OW1.

OW2 RK/QP = OW1 QP which I played alot

Over with CCwatch and Ultwatch.

  • The scoreboard, leading to less toxicity toward people playing off-meta heroes if they are performing.
  • The ping system — finally people turn when I ping a flanker or dive someone on high ground if I ping them.
  • New maps are very visually appealing, particularly New York.
  • Less shields forcing drawn out engagements or games where one team can’t even make it past the first choke.

I do not feel like this at all, but I have a GTX 3060.
