Sorry if this is a dumb question, I don’t play in the game browser that often
For the first few games it rewards me “0 XP” at the end of matches, then it switches to “Current XP limit for custom games has been reached” for the rest of the day. I also still get notifications that I will not receive XP if I remain inactive.
Is it actually possible to get XP or are these just messages that haven’t been removed from this mode? Doesn’t matter much either way, it’s just a bit weird
Yes, if you stay inactive for a while in a custom game it will take all your XP and set it to 0 XP gained.
If you’re active enough you’ll gain XP.
When playing custom games there is a match counter, if i’m correct 5.
If you play all 5 matches you have gotten the daily XP limit for those matches, this is to prevent XP farming.
But if you gain 0 XP from such inactivity match, it’ll still count as 1/5 daily XP limit matches.

I don’t intentionally remain inactive or anything, it might just be the types of game modes I play? I’ll try play more standard ones first thing today and see if I can get XP gain to work for me, thank you 
Custom games that do not contain workshop rules tend to win xp.
Games that use workshop rules get 0 xp.
