Ok so I just had a stadium game with a leaver. After the timer ran out everyone left.
I was the only person that stayed because I heard the game won’t reward the enemy a win if everyone leaves.
One of my teammates returned and said I was keeping them from re-queuing and some of the enemy team were upset because they thought I was keeping them trapped in the game (I wasn’t even contesting)
Exactly. Because the game is not over.
Imagine being such a loser to return just to complain about how you cannot play the game AFTER YOU LEFT. This community is wild.
I needed to hear this because someone on the enemy team was calling ME a loser for staying 
Like dude you have the guaranteed win, just wait 5 minutes for the game to end.
I consider it like this.
Treat people the way you want to be treated > appeasing toxic Overwatch players.
The choice is obvious.

You should have left. Most people want to play the game, not sit around doing nothing.
But that’s the point, you cannot requeue. So if you want to play the game, maybe play the game you started? It’s a competitive mode. If you want a quick experience, drop in and drop out… RANKED STADIUM was certainly a choice.
They could have requeued if OP had left.

The game is broken in that if the entire other team leaves you don’t get the win.
But also if you’re game is safe to leave and you leave, it won’t let you start a new one basically making you take the same ban as the actual leaver.
It’s really just incompetence on the company at this point not on you. Your were screwed either way, ruin one teams win or ruin another teams ability to queue up again. FWIW I would stay and let the other team get their win, it’s more sportsman like
The enemy would not have received a win if I left, and it was one of the 2 enemies that was annoyed and 1 ally the rejoined to complain.
Well, challenge progression for the OP and the enemy team outside of the one freak are more important than letting a leaver requeue. I would be willing to be half the people playing this are just doing it for the legendary lootbox.
Some people don’t care as much about “getting the win,” as they do playing the game. I’m personally one of them. I don’t want to sit there for 5 minutes doing nothing, so I can get something as meaningless as a win on my record. I play video games to actually play the game, not to get wins.
What about the other people in the lobby that want the win? What about them?
But isn’t this true even for the people who didn’t initially leave?
Like, if person 1 leaves, then the game says “The game is now safe to leave” and person 2 leaves, I dont think its unreasonable for person 2 to want to queue up for a new match without being penalized. The game has already been ruined, and some people dont really care about wins, they just want to play the game.
I don’t care the situation I never leave. If the other team wants to leave by all means. But demanding I quit…. Never.

It sounds like not only did you make some of the enemy team mad, you made your teammates mad because they couldn’t requeue. What about them?
The way I see it, if you have a leaver, the game is ruined. Also, you could look at it as, did they even really deserve the win just because someone on your team left?

That sucks. I’m gonna ride the game out to the end. I don’t care how spiteful it is. You don’t deserve to requeue if you quit. Sit there and wait. You quit and left and want to be rewarded?

Of course not. The loser behavior is returning to the game you abandoned to cry about how your time is being wasted BECAUSE someone is trying to ensure that the rest of the lobbies time is not wasted. Lol

Of course it is the developers fault. I called them out about this ONE issue countless times. I get it. I am disappointed in them as well. But returning to a game to cry is pathetic.
I guess if you want to waste everyone’s time that’s your option, it doesn’t seem very fun to me though.
Quitters can sit and wait. If you want to play. Get back in the game you were put in.
