Can you be placed in bronze with a fresh account?

I’m just curious if it’s even possible to be placed into bronze from placements (fresh account only)?

I have seen people claim they got silver, but after doing some searchings on the forum (which is cluttered by people heading into a new season) I can’t seem to find the answer.

I mean, if you’re horrifically bad or throwing to smurf at a low rank, I don’t see why not.

I don’t have any recorded examples of this happening (with the current system), but legitimate bad players don’t post as much on the forums, and don’t make a lot of alt accounts.

Maybe if you jump off the map for ten games.

True story but, I had someone on my team do that, our team reported him, he was banned (confirmed with message - only report I made for a long period of time).

10 games are not enough to drop that low, maybe you get 1500-1600 if you’re really bad, but that means you have to lose all 10 games and get -100SR for each

There is plenty people who have placed bronze. Throwing is the best way to get there.

You basically have to farm deaths like well over 10 per match and kill nothing. I’ve faced sr 800 throwers during placements before so it’s possible.

Otherwise you will place Gold, on this account I placed 2000 even though I wasn’t used to using a mouse and could not aim at all lol.

Just play with an LAT values that’s 500+, IND over 200, blindfolded, mute all players, and use a trackpad XD

Ye those bronze to gm streamer be like, no I didnt throw to get to bronze, I just played drunk with 100 sens 16000dpi.

If my fiance played overwatch, her account would be banned before placements. She can’t even make her character walk in the direction she wants.
