Can you ban certain characters for your own team?

I know, it sounds ridiculous - and it’s (maybe) impossible. But mayyyybe…

My goal: Avoiding Lifeweaver players in my team as much as possible. The reasons: Too much meme misuse Life Grip + exposing my position with it, using Platform to lift enemies (why??) + exposing them to our higher positioned DPS, blocking our own lines with Platform spawns. All. The Time. Since. Release. Of. That. Character.
I’m not 100% sure anymore, if Blizzard created him on purpose just for memes…

Honestly, it’s the MOST ANNOYING character in my top 3 for ages in any games I ever played, 70-80% of all times it feels having an enemy in your own team. Currently, I’m constantly re-qeueing when I see a Lifeweaver in my team.

Any ideas (besides quitting the game xD)?

Yeah of course, I ban Freja + Soj every game, even if my DPS want to play her haha oopsie.

I’ve had games where my tank has locked Doomfist, but enough of the team voted to have him banned.

Heck I’ve even locked Ana only to have her banned by my Tank who wanted to play Hog.

Just ban LW every game. More often than not your team will follow along :wink:

Your best chance of the Lifeweaver ban going through is to vote only Lifeweaver. Do not use the second or third bans.
