Can we update Widowmakers Venom Perk? IDEA INCLUDED

Widowmakers Venom Mine Perk change idea.

Instead of adding a 2nd one, can we just simply add a sludge effect to her trap.

This would explode and cause slow effect to the targets hit by it.

Perk: Venom Sludge

  • Activates purple smoke that reduces player movement by 40% for a duration of 3.2 seconds.

+Radius of explosion will expand by 50% more than the current venom mine.

+The animation of the mine could also change on this level to indicate to players that the mine has evolved to a new stage of effect.

This change will help reduce the number of diving heroes to widowmaker and the ones that do will think twice about flanking when they see the trap.

Allowing the radius of impact to increase will also make the flanker think twice about simply destorying it and pushing through.

I like the mobility reduction, but I would leave the blast radius the same.

I know it’s supposed to be a perk, but it still seems a tad strong. Maybe if it’s single use, that balances out.

Isn’t this just Black Widow’s ult from Rivals, tuned to her venom mine?

Her ult works as a mass slow for anyone who walks into it, making them much easier to headshot.

Works the same way as you described pretty much, except it’s a plasma sludge on the ground and not smoke.

ya the main diff is the slow effect in that game is triggered by the black widow

this version, the slow effect happens based on the enemy triggering it.

Same concept: Slow down enemies to head shot them easier.

Widow doesn’t need that tbh, kinda interesting though.

ya even that would be fine. honestly anything is better than just a 2nd mine lol
