the ho was getting played in every match prior regardless lmfao. it also has to do with the fact of orisa getting played way more now too, a tank hero who can’t contest her and can’t protect her team from her.
again stats show that aint true, so I can’t really help you out there.
I will actually say that hero specific balance changes like that would solve a LOT of problems. The devs won’t ever though because it’s far too complex
For example, you could reduce the amount of healing that Juno and Brig receive from each other to nerf the comp without nerfing either individually fine hero.
i totally get this, and ik we’ll disagree here with your stance on hitscans, but without widow being good, i just dont see hitscans being prominent enough in this game to make me keep playing it.
i dont think i could take cree/soldier/ashe/and widow all being in the weakest states theyve ever been in, while tracer/echo/pharah etc all continue to thrive with buffs and lack of hitscan counterplay.
i miss when widow wasnt the only hitscan you could consistently carry on. if you want to carry on the other hitscans its sooooo map/team comp dependent.
See at least with other games there are clear weaknesses. slower ads, no movement abilities, no way to keep yourself alive consistently, etc etc.
In overwatch you’re trying to deal with a sniper, that has a movement ability to guarantee safety from at least the first dive, plays at an uncontestable range and has bodyguard supports to keep her alive. It just doesn’t work.
Hanzo at least half works (while still being a nuisance) because projectile is just flat out less consistent to hit.
The game was not designed to be a hitscans first everyone else second kinda game. Thats why its been nothing but degrading for everyone the more Blizz is unwilling to accept this truth.
You have a dozen or so shooters that fills this for you.
OW was the only shooter game for hundreds of thousands of people who have left because now the heroes they liked get punished for not being hitscans.
The meta is still hitscan DPS for most of the playerbase. Soldier and Ashe are still in every single game in both sides.
Double hitscan in both sides is still the most likely scenario from bronze to GM.
And Tracer is a hitscan.
You can consistently carry with any hitscan easier and harder than with almost any projectile or beam DPS hero. Thats why they are the most picked in comp. Instant massive damage from far away? Why even bother with anything else?
Tutorial 76 is literally Symmetra but easier and stronger.
