That is actually one of the many reason I dont mind being in plat.
Like back in OW1 when people were going on and on about double shields and goats, I never really had to deal with those. Its a perk of not being in the top 10%.
Widow is still 100% a issue at my rank, but thank god i dont have to deal with widows that land more shot then they miss.

then you played against some bums gang idk what to tell you lmfao or you had a dive tank which again I already said is not a sombra countering widow thing, it’s a dive counter widow thing. To which sombra could be replaced by any dps and do the same, and hell if you played tracer you could just straight up do better / more.
No competent backline should be letting a widow die to a lone sombra.
man just say you were terrible at playing the braindead version of sombra and be done with it, i am telling you, it was possible to just crap on a widow with sombra if you had good timing, now you cant do that.

are yall incapable of playing other dive/rush heroes? there are entire team comps that counter widow

and I’m telling you that any competent support lineup / widow is not dying to a lone sombra.
waiting for the perfect moment with sombra is you giving time for someone on your team to get dome topped and if you’re just engaging with a dive tank, again that’s no longer a sombra thing. Any dive DPS can deal with widow if they have the dive tank with them engaging as well.
it may have worked for you in your outlier anecdotal games but I’ve SEEN it consistently not work past diamond, way more than I ever saw it work. Hence why sombra was lesser played than widow and with a worse winrate.

But why couldn’t they also do something to Widow? Genuinely curious. Especially with what they’ve been doing to Hanzo. 250 headshot would work wonders and allow some breathing room for other heroes
It doesn’t, people that can aim are still getting damage off more consistently and getting more headshots.
Zee bronze players are not suddenly gold because of the changes.

yeah they only messed with hanzo bc of the “luck” element to his oneshots by being able to spam a sightline with them.
widow just cant be the same hero she is now without her one shot, just like when hanzo lost his one shot he disappeared from the game. people like arrge who main hanzo and even have 9000+hrs on hanzo were sitting in plat/diamond lol
i personally would just want cree/soldier/ashe to have competent enough fall-off to contest the widow without just being forced to mirrormatch or straight up counter her

Its insane that Sym and Mercy were butchered by bad reworks thanks to fraudulent lies, but Widow gets a pass at breaking the game since early OW1 because muh sniper.
