I don’t want to see her gone. I think she is fun and do want to see her work in the game. The fact is she doesn’t right now. The dev’s have done everything they can to nerf Goats and its still there. Brig is also basically useless now outside of Goats as she has been nerfed so damn much, all she does now is help enable Goats.
What I would love to see is the Dev’s take Brig out of the next comp season (and OWL). She is still in the game in QP and stuff and the intention is to bring her back into comp and the game after they spend some time reworking her and figuring out how to make her kit work without it being bad for the games health.
This would be great for them as they get to take their time doing it and don’t have to rush anything and great for us as we don’t have to keep waiting and putting up with janky balance and meta’s as they try to fix the Brig/Goats problem.

LITERALLY just put a cap on how many tanks or supports can be on a team at 2 each.
Problem, solved.
Now, revert any number of Brig nerfs, so she can be used in normal comps.

I don’t much like this approach but I admit it does fix this issue so so well.
I mean, people wouldn’t be happy if they “temporarily” deleted her and then took their time reworking her, leaving her to rot in limbo for who knows how long because there was little impetus to get her back into the game. And then people would start to make posts asking to leave her that way…

Yeah it was a call back to the delete Brig movement when people wanted her taken out of the game forever, which I do not want. I just think it’s clear that the devs are struggling to make the game balanced and enjoyable while also including Brig, so maybe take her out until they fix that issue and they can bring her back in.
Right now, I think we’ll see some buffs for Brig after GOATs has been dead for at least two weeks.

I agree but this could be fixed easily by buffing her support side and bringing down her tanky side.

Then why did Goats only arrive after she came into the game? Slambulance was the closest thing before than that was never that meta, like it worked but not that well. Brig is hardly the only thing that makes Goats work, people who say that are just dumb, but she is one of the key pieces. Repair pack is huge for survivability and her normal heal does help too, her stun is a serious asset for Goats vs Goats matches and her barrier is vital to it, get rid of her and Goats would go.
Tbh I agree with you, but things are getting a bit desperate now. Since at least new years each patch has been billed as the Goats killer patch and guess what, we still have Goats. On top of this the rest of the game is getting more frustrating as anti-Goats mechanics and buffs screw with balance while failing to kill Goats. What I think we need is a huge change designed to kill Goats dead. Removing Brig seems the best of these, You could nerf Rein, Zarya or Lucio into the ground, but that seems even worse to me personally with lots of possible far-reaching ramifications. Brig is already bad and needing a rework, she cannot be buffed without risking boosting Goats or making her OP again even if she needs that buff. What she needs is a rework and I’d rather not have to put up with weak her and Goats while that rework is in development.

She just made it stronger
Slambulance and quad tank, the closest thigs to goats, always suffered against Dive
Once brig was added, she countered dive, so, goats lost a counter, and this happend
But dont blame the hero, tbh, it was either add brig, or we nerfed the dive heroes to the ground…which probably would have ended in the same result

Are people still seeing goats? I couldn’t even get my teams to play it when I asked and the enemy was running dive…

Reduce Whipshot range to 15m
Increase CD of Repair Pack by a lot
Unnerf her shield bash damage and shield health
Makes her better in 222 and worse in GOATs.
It’s her sustain. It’s always been her sustain.
They struggled because they listened to the whining instead of what the stats showed as broken about her.

Well, goats never became prominent till Lucio received his buffs. Right now, if you aren’t running a Lucio, then you shouldn’t run goats at all. He’s kept on speed boost like 95% of the time. Brig only had lots of value to goats when she was able to stun through shields. After all the nerfs she’s received, plus nerfs to armor, it is evident that she is not the problem.
Regardless of how “bad” it is, removing peoples options is never a good idea. And honestly, she isn’t that bad.
