Surely someone else thinks double turret is pretty ridiculous…surely?
The rate at which torbjorn can accumulate his cummies with just one well-positioned turret is more than enough. Torb has always been excellent at pressuring flankers like tracer out of the backline.
But now TWO turrets? bruh cmon

They also have 40% less damage and health

fair and fine, the turrets really aren’t the dps here yknow
Torbjorn alone is pretty beefy with overload.
I just dont think he needed two turrets,
40% of 200 is 120 HP
Turrets when used for information on the enemies whereabouts can be so so powerful. You can quite literally cover two flanks with one hero, whilst building your ultimate at the same time & still being able to be present on the front line to pressure the tanks.
It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out for sure. I just dont think it was a necessary buff.
If anything, torbs kit was way more than enough as it is - but that’s just my opinion!
When I read two turrets I just laughed and instantly stopped taking the ExC seriously. And I play a fair bit of Torb.

RIGHT! you could make the damage a measly 8dmg per turret and it’d still apply sooo much pressure. More than people are understanding right now.
It’s such an unnecessary buff.
Feels like it’s an early april fools joke to me

The couple times I have heard serious discussion on Torb literally the only thing at this point keeping him from being “viable” is the speed of his primary projectile. A slight tweaking there and he could easily be in several metas. He is kept down on purpose to not offend those who cannot handle turrets despite the fact its all him past a point.
that’s +20% from two angles shooting at once.
even in his current state, that turret needed a nerf. 200HP for a self-aiming, non-player controlled influence in a team fight is kinda stupid. That turret should not have more health than a dps character in general.
Torbjorn’s overload skill is more suited for a hero like reinhardt at well.
His kit is now…overloaded. lol
33.6 dps + 33.6 dps = 67.2 dps, instead of old 56 dps. Put second turret to other side of the map, 40m detection range from both. 150HP turrets instead of 250Hp. Well that will counter the 175HP gigatracer
im not even concerned about the damage. The fact that you can have two 100+ HP aimlock turrets on the map without needing to have any sort of human input for them to effectively have a huge impact on the game (pressuring out flankers & zoning out LOS’) is so stupid
Torb is fine and arguably the most balanced projectile dps. He’s situationally very strong. Why anyone would want to change him when he’s finally in a good spot is beyond me.

Yes. But I really want a test game with 2 turrets.

That was one of the few crazy for fun changes, all of them were supposed to be that.

Forget the fact that he can cover multiple flanks at same time
Ability stacking as a whole is bad…you want things restricted to one so that their limitations keep them in check
This is super apparent when you have two of the same hero…like say in MH where a team can have two zaryas or winstons can have basically infinite uptime on bubbles or shields…(cool down removal is similar like in total mayhem)
But you don’t even need those gimmick game modes just look at the history of the game and what has been the prevalent strategy uses: double barrier, double sniper, two or more divers, Super bulky brawl comps, stack aoe heals, etc etc
Usually people gravitate towards stacking abilities because it becomes so much harder to actually deal with it
This is part of the reason why am always saying that if they’re not going to add heroes that are unique then they really shouldn’t be adding them to the game at all
2 torb turrets is easily the worst suggestion on the card…because you’re removing the limitations that having one sets…
He is fine now for one thing.
Two turrets is a really strange change that is clearly aimed more at OWL than ladder play.
He will be completely busted on ladder…especially on lower tiers were people have a hard time just dealing with one
Let’s not also forget that on top of removing limitations you’re also talking about an ability that functions completely on its own
Edit: would* (none of this will actually make ladder)
That was my point, but its not going to the ladder anyway. Its hard for me to say anything positive about a patch that was only meant for the pros
Even if these changes are just for fun in the tournament, the ‘pros’ still had a fantastic opportunity to really tweak & finetune the hero’s they believed were too much in their current state.
But no. Let’s just meme it up.
What will happen is, some of these changes will be taken into consideration based on their viability in live. that’s a given.
e.g. tracer & baptiste.
In the short term future, they seem like great changes.
long term, you’ll see tracer become way too much for alot of players to now handle.
25 hp goes a long way.
Anyway, just hope they know that they were given an opportunity to have a real say and they completely threw it out the window with some very questionable changes.

It was a poor attempt at give a little, get a little.
Remember why they changed Torb from his original release build? This just takes a step backwards to that build.
