D.va is supposed to be a jack of all trades on the tank slot, she is supposed to be ok at everything much like solider on the dps slot, however there is a big difference between soldier and dva, soldier is ok at everything, D.va on the other hand is Absurdly good on all these thing.
She has 600 ( 200) of those being armor making her health absurdly high, D.va dmg is at such an absurd place if teams were still allowed to have multiple heroes Team comps would be 4 D.va’s and 2 support,
D.va is supposed to have a massive Critbox that is supposed to be her weakness oh but wait not really cus d.va has an insane defensive abillity on resource not even on cooldown, effectively making her have no weakness.
Her Mobility literally contests that of Tracer which is ridiculous for a Tank with her Dmg output which outdpses all the dps .
There is no way around it her pickrates reflect this being the most picked hero on all tiers, all you need to do is watch 1 overwatchleague game and its so apparent that D.va is not balanced.
But Devs keep turning a blind eye to her cus she bring $$$, this game is already on the decline and one day it will die out main cause being Balance issues (not just D.va)
Hopefully Brigitte can stop her with Shield Bash and Whip Shot, but I’d say, her Boosters cd is a bit too short for how powerful it is
Brigitte will most likely enable her even more seeing as brigitte’s armors will require even more DPS output to deal with her and guess which character does insane amount of dmg, yep you guessed it D.va
But her armor also counters D.Va’s damage output since D.Va struggles against armor as well
Everyone struggles against armor not just D.va so pretty much nothing will change DPS will strugle more than they are now D.va too but that doesnt change the fact that D.va does so much DMG.
Rather than debate you, because that won’t go anywhere, I’m going to challenge you.
I see you have only a few minutes on D.Va. Go play her for at least 2-3 hours. Give her a real try, not just like one or two games. You might not completely change your mind, but I bet how strongly you feel about this will change. She’s a lot closer to balanced than you think and I think playing her will help you see that.
Note: I am not saying she couldn’t use a change, but Brigitte does affect her. And I sincerely think that if you play her for a reasonable amount of time your stance will at least soften.
I will counter challenge you and say me and you 1v1 I’ll pick D.va you pick any character that you think you can beat D.va no healthpacks and I’ll just show you just how not balanced she really is , even with me having less than 2-3 hours at her
DPS will still get breathing room because of Brigitte’s CC and protection against D.Va with Brigitte’s Repair Kit
D.Va’s style is go in and out, Brigitte stops that momentum
But the D.va also has a birgitte why are you ignoring that??? D.va will have even more armor making her health above 800-900. Is there a reason you’re ignoring that?
I was talking to the OP, but there’s 2 problems with your challenge.
- We aren’t even close to the same skill level.
- You aren’t supposed to 1 v 1 a tank, ever. Tanks should usually win a 1 v 1. They are tanks.
That said, I’ve beaten more than 1 D.Va as Mei. But again, they were at my skill level.
Still, you only have 19 minutes on her, I truly think you’d change your mind if you take me up on it just like I’m challenging the OP.
My point is that Brigitte is a bodyguard against D.Va. I never said anything about killing D.Va, you tried to change it to that subject
What matters to me is that there’s someone who can protect against D.Va, not make D.Va harder to kill

I trip out on the range and size of defense matrix, I’ve had dva behind me eat things that I’m throwing or shooting in the opposite direction. Its literally a giant black hole not just a small shield.
if you think D.va needs to nerfs and are sure of that why are you bothered by these threads? I used to be a gneji main for more than 1 year the forums are asking about a gnji nerf never once did I sweat over those threads cus i know genji needs no changes, but of if you’re insecure about something than it might bother you
D.Va would deal less damage to an armored foe because small arms fire only does half damage and her primary fire is exactly that.
How is she procting you if the D.va lives longer and does even more dmg?? Are you not contradicting yourself here??
You are exaggerating. Again, if you play her, you will find out it isn’t like you say. You don’t need a second person. Just try it. Give it 3 hours. Report your findings on the forums.
