Can we stop this RNG bull with Roadhog

No other character has to deal with this, its unfair not knowing where my shots will land.

What are you askin for, exactly?

Lesser spread on a scattergun?

You have a big circle reticle that tells you were the bullets go. His long range is more getting a feel for the ideal ramge though.

a consistant spread. I dont think its fair that roadhog has to rely on luck with landing his shots. no other hero has this

It’s not luck. It’s the kind of weapon he’s using that EVEN IN THE REAL WORLD acts like that.
Up close? Sh#t’s gonna shred
Medium distance to far? KeK.

Every shotgun and pellet based weapon in the game has to deal with this. Except Tracer, because hers fires as fast as a machine gun.

But, to address the point:

Hog’s offense is pretty lackluster now. If you objectively look at his damage, it isn’t that great. Lower damage per second than Orisa, Soldier, D.Va and on a wide spread. He isn’t a “barrier buster” like some claim. That’s laughable; his damage is lower than most heroes who have much better grouping and have to reload less often. His gun does not have some hidden bonus damage to barriers, it’s just low, period.

Other tanks do more damage than him, but also have mobility, utility and better defenses. Hog, HAD his combo, which made him viable. With that taken from him…what is his point?

But the main problem is, the forum mob has decided he’s “good” and doesn’t need to be fixed, and Blizzard takes its cues from the whiners when it comes to tanks.

Roadhog may as well be radioactive; they wont touch him.

That’s because you don’t know weapons.
Never wondered why hunting rifles(rifles could be inaccurate naming since of language differences and such) that are loaded with hunting shells are more accurate the longer the barrells are? It’s physic dude.
The weapon roadhog is given it’s a shotgun with the barrels so short they can’t convey the shells inside it in a line, they just spread and destroy in close range.
Other games with weapons like roadhog’s one act, on all games, the same as it does here.
There is nothing to complain about that, expecially if you wanna keep that nasty close range damage.

Fixed spread, probably. It’s the standard for other competitive shooters.

You don’t know what you’re gonna get with each shot as it is. You might get most of the pellets on the head, or they might all go under the armpit.

Other games have pellets in a fixed pattern, so you always get what you expect. No accidental kills, no random survival. It’s the way it should be.

…you…never used a shotgun?..you may be able to predict the landing of a shot of a shotgun shot, but it is not the same every time

And that’s possible for a shotgun, as you said.

The moment you reduce the barrels to make it a scattergun, sh#t’s gonna scatter so fast you won’t be able to predict anything if not at super close range.

also, it has no choke, and…you know, its shooting random scrap!

He doesnt even put shells in he puts random junk out of his pocket

hog suffers the most from it by far

And they don’t act like the pellet in the shell?

Please.

what kinda shotgun shoots a ball out that explodes mid air? hogs gun is more like a musket if anything

Yes, blizzard forum, it was a complete sentence exactly 20 chars long.
Why are you making me ruin it?

its a scrap gun not a shotgun… I dont know why your bringing real weapons into this. Your talking about physics when we have a guy that shoots a bouncy arrow.
take a shower and get a clue.
