Can we please play the Archive missions while we wait for OW2?

I’m sure I’m not the only player out there that really likes teaming up in a co-op style to just blast baddies. Can you guys please open up these missions again in Arcade in a more permanent fashion like you have with QPC and Mystery? It would be awesome to be able to use the “any Hero” option when selecting heros for these missions also.

That is a good idea to hype up OW2. Though sadly they do not do this because Activision wants to sell lootboxes and get people to play.

Agreed. Since we’re getting dedicated permanent pve there’s no reason for it to be a limited event thing anymore.

I’d play the hell out of those missions

That would be pretty cool, OP. They could move QPC to an option on the QP screen (like how Comp and Open Queue are next to each other) while still allowing QPC games to count towards Arcade lootbox victories; this would open up an Arcade slot for co-op missions.

I got Lego Bastion over a year ago now, I think, but the only time I’ve ever used him is in co-op. It’d be cool to regularly play characters that would get me shouted at even in QP.

Just got Beyond Light the other day but Overwatch, you can have me back if you do this.

Buy loot boxes with the archive missions in them.
Buy one for 1 usd.
And then you can team up with people to play the game.
if you buy x number of boxes you get a cool spray.

So the lootboxes have the missions themselves as a reward?

Yup.
Blizzard still sells lootboxes, people get the archive missions.

Queue time boost edition: it costs two priority tickets to play one co-op mission. :tickets::lips::tickets:

I see, though truly I would be alright if they did not focus on selling lootboxes. However that does sound like something Activision will do.

I am hoping for a cool pve beta during archives or anniversary I think that would be really awesome
Though I am happy with waiting still
I do kind of agree with you here though

I want them to do this so bad!!! It will help build a PvE player base for OW2.

i mean the archives event is only a month or two away

I would really like that, even if it’s just on a randomized rotation.

Unrelated, but Archives is the only event mode you cannot access through a custom. You can setup Junkenstein, Mei’s Snowball Offensive, Yeti Hunt, Lucioball and Capture the Flag all through customs during Anniversary or the respective events (barring CTF). But not the Archives missions.

A meaningful gameplay loop?
We don’t get those here.

I wish. Archives is my fav event because the pve modes are so fun. Genuienly get bummed after Anniversary when its another year wait to play them again.

At the very least custom games man. :pensive:

On the brightside, we get PvE twice. Then after that we have about six months left until 2022 (where we’ll also get Junkenstein), and then we should hopefully get some more news about OW2 during that period (Nov-Feb)

At this point of time, the events have lost real meaning for modes. I really do not understand the idea of not having PvE in arcade rotation or having literally a dedicated gamemode slot like Normal Modes / Competitive Modes / Arcade currently have.

Those two events are whats gonna get me to ow2 :sob:
Especially the challenge modes. Really brought the fun back to dull repeats on events.

that and Story Of Seasons comes out next month
