Can we please keep OW1? OW2 is just a team deathmatch

Tanks reworked into glorified DPS, tank synergy removed, what are you even doing?

At least let us keep original Overwatch, isn’t it better to split the playerbase than actually losing it completely? Don’t merge the games, not everyone wants this hot pile of 5v5 garbage…

The more you reveal the worse it gets.

Why do people think this? It’s most likely coming this year.

I am. Where did I say that everyone dislikes it? Many people however do. Keeping OW1 separate wouldn’t affect you at all.

Because it would have been announced. Also there are beta planned for the end
Of This year up til next. You do realise pve is going to take quite a long time? As well as lining up additional content to support the game for the first few years after launch…

If it was this year I’d of been a bit
More worried for the game

Well that’s a bit rude mate.

Splitting the community like that definitely has an effect on everyone :+1:

How? The part of the community that doesn’t like new changes simply won’t play the game, the result is a playerbase loss for OW2 regardless.

Keeping OW1 at least gives Blizz more players.

If it’s any consolation, there appears to be more hero shooters coming this year: Gundam Evolution, XDefiant, [unannounced game by Bungie].

“x hero is just a fat DPS” is one of the laziest arguments ever, and this forum can’t seem to stop doing it. All it does is show ignorance of both tank and DPS roles alike.

DPS aren’t mindless kill drones. Tanks aren’t there to cosplay as walls.

Not necessarily. Overwatch’s release wasn’t announced until just two and a half months before its release. March 7th announcement for May 24th launch.

Where did they specify this?

It’s not like they just started work on PvE, they’ve been working on it for years. Even before OW2 was announced.

This can be worked on after launch.

I just don’t think they have years to work on this. In some form or other, from a strictly business perspective, they need to release this game within the next 12 months, I still say late-November is possible, but definitely no later than first quarter 2023.

Not that I care, I think the game looks bad in general and have little to no interest in playing it, so the longer it takes, the longer I get to keep playing my baby that I love and have loved for 6 years. :woman_shrugging:

What are you talking about??

That was never the case in OW1. If you really can’t see that all those tank changes are there to appeal to DPS crowd then you’re the one who is ignorant. Or oblivious. One or the other.

Ow 2 is so much more fun

I highly doubt it will remain DM for a very long.

Give it a month and there will be already a stale meta.

OW2 isn’t team deathmatch. 5v5 is a blessing
