The thing is Reinhardt mains have been saying that exact thing you just said since over a year ago. People are fed up with waiting and are losing their patience. You can only get someone to walk on a treadmill for so long if the reward is a carrot on a string hanging from the ceiling just out of reach.

I’m hoping at gamescon they do a big reveal of Rein 2.0 where Reinhardt gets a lazer hammer and a jetpack and for his ult he grows 2 more arms and starts swinging around 4 lazer hammers

Now it’s time for this one, and the rest of the wicked bugs.

As for animation cancels, it’s allowed as long as other characters has them and saying otherwise is nonsense. Characters like Genji and Tracer use them all the time, and the developers themselves built Brigitte’s Shield Bash+Melee+Whip Shot combo that counters Tracer on animation canceling. And if Reinhardt is getting his removed then they should also get rid of Genji’s, Brigitte’s and basically everyone else’s animations. It’s either all of them are ok, or none of them or ok.
