No one and i repeat no one is having fun playing against this hero. Why is she still excluded from what S9 was supposed to change and get rid off? Her primary is easier than ever to hit and she still has her one tap vs. full Support and DPS roster. This should not be a thing.

Widow, tracer and Ana are heroes we’re never allowed to actually nerf, even though the game would be in a much better place if we changed them.
Widow doesn’t keep anyone in check. She CAN be nerfed. Ana and Tracer keep so many heroes in check that nerfing then would mean nerfs to 10+ other heroes, which no one would appreciate.
Yeah, ever since the projectile size increase, I can’t understand they did any of this. They increased HP to deal with burst but left her one shot in tact and made it even easier to hit. The fact it needs more charge to one shot feels offset by the fact the hitbox is bigger.
Like, just dumpster her. Get her out. She doesn’t keep any hero in check, she just turns the game into a frustrating experience. Nothing of value is lost.
Good. Not nerfing the two of them like we needed to has caused a lot of problems in OW. Blizzard keeps trying to make complicated chances instead of doing the obvious fix: nerf tracer’s mobility and nerf anti on nade.
Widow along with Sombra are like the two dps who should never get out of “niche” tier tbh.

No, we’re tired of tracer and ana gatekeeping roles, in spite of what tracer OTPs think.
And most would be even more mad if their main got nerfed because of a nerf to a different hero. Nerfing Tracer and Ana means nerfs to almost the entire Tank and Support roles along with some of the DPS. If you think that this would go over well with the community, you’re just wrong lol
It took Tracer having a ridiculous pickrate for people to care about her. She’s usually meta and people never really care. Ana is complained about consistently, sure, but so are the main heroes she counters. People hate both heroes far less than you think
OTPs are wild. The mental gymnastics you go through to try and justify your OTP staying strong is entertaining as anything. No matter the hero, 90% of all one tricks sound exactly the same.
It’s not mental gymnastics, it’s objectively true. Without Tracer and Ana, the devs would have to nerf most of the heroes. I’m not an Ana otp, yet I’ve always said that Ana is a gatekeeper hero in the same way Tracer is.
The real mental gymnastics is hating heroes so much that you don’t understand what role they serve in the game. Dva, Tracer, and Ana are all gatekeeper heroes. None of them can ever be truly weak without other heroes becoming overpowered as a result. None of them can drop below A tier without necessitating nerfs to a large portion of the roster. That’s how the devs balanced this game. Create something strong that’s counterbalanced by something else. Remove the counterweight and the strong thing is now too strong. It’s a very basic concept.
Not before pharah is nerfed.
They reverted Widow’s fall-off nerf along the way, too.

Widow must not be nerfed, she keeps everyone in check on sniper maps.
I laugh everytime i have a widow that simply destroys the enemy because they don’t know the fundamentals of a sniper.

This is literally the problem I’m trying to solve. We can’t make the needed changes to other heroes to actually balance the game because specific heroes (tracer, ana, widow) are gatekeepers. That’s my entire point

Widow is rather niche as she is very map dependent. More than most other heros. And mind you, in S13 there will be map reworks to Havana and Circuit Royal. Alec Dawson even said that they are quite happy with Widow current palce and being map dependend. I would think they might buff her depending on how big the mapchanges are.
Its already quite difficult to play Widow (I do not even talk about the current Tankpatch) , even on her stronger maps. As soon as you hit 1 headshot while you missed the 10 shots before, the enemy will change to atleast (but more often 3) counters. With Ball and Lucio being strong and Sombra being a Hardcounter, it no fun.
except if never really was. Yes, her falloff was slightly buffed but thats because of the global HP buff. It was also just a readjustment to her range before the S9 changes.
