Average playtime a week? - put that in std dev of 1 - 3.
People say Elo hell group thinks we’re superior to people in the same rank. For the record it’s more about “time in” and backed up by stats.
When I say I get match with a potato / bot / bad player - i watch the to see the vod if someone was throwing or even trying, I find them on overbuff and see their stats, I see my potato partner as someone who has not played nearly as much as me and like white knights would say - haven’t worked on themselves. I can imagine a group of four friends who can only meet on Saturday …. While due to covid I’ve been playing A LOT.
Well use peoples APW, average it for a group. And interpolate that into the mmr. As people play more I’m sure potatoes and gamers will be able to climb the ranks in their own time. Perhaps as the ranks get higher APW diminishes.
I don’t mind being average. If bronze… no silver… no gold is my rank. ATLEAST let me enjoy my game with people with similar play time and know where the health packs are.
(multiple potato search’s on overbuff has confirmed this for me)
(Side note: ironically enough “intolerance” and “superiority” fit close together).

im really not sure what makes you think it would change anything. maybe you get a few less smurfs because they inherently play less?
other than that though, time played means basically nothing.
I’m happy to be proven wrong but I think you’re putting too much value on time and not enough on skill.
if they want to try it then I woudlnt be mad but i get teh feeling that it would be a marginal increase for the people who play often and just plain bad for those who dont.

I know most of the lucio rollouts. does that make me better than any other gm lucio?
knowledge means nothing if you cant act on it. if you think you know a lot more than your teammates then use what you know and carry.

Lets be real here, your “ideas” are just you venting about “bad teammates”, because you insist to blame teammates and matchmaker. You are literally going “I missed all my shots in this scenario, BUT that doesn’t matter! Look at what MY teammate was doing here.”
