During summer games we get lucioball and beach volleyball but they always take it away when the mode disappears. There is a group of players who love playing these game modes and having to wait all year to play again is such a long wait. Also what’s up with Copa Lucioball not being in rotation anymore?
I don’t understand why Blizzard can’t open these modes in custom games.
You can say this about any of the event modes, my guess is blizzard thinks if the modes aka the main part of the event, are available in custom games all year. it might ruin the hype for the event itself when its active, especially since workshop creators can probably modify the events in some way to make them more fun than the base event.

Quite agree with you that Blizzard is really cheap.
If the creators are relying on the current half-dead workshop to create a mode that will in fact draw away the majority of players, then Blizzard should reflect on whether EVENT MODE is one-dimensional, boring or uninspired.

Totally agree. All LTMs should be in custom games (like c’mon if even fortnite can do it overwatch can). I also don’t see the harm in adding them to the arcade rotation beyond plain laziness. If they want hype for seasonal events then they should make new game modes. This way people will be excited for the event, not the game mode. In the summer I’m not excited for summer games in the slightest I’m excited for lucioball. But I’m afraid this thread like all others about LTMs will likely fall on deaf ears.
