With his recent disabling the game has been so much more enjoyable, you actually had tank players, you didn’t have an enemy just holding w all game until they get ult, sombra numbers dropped because she was no longer required to be in 99% of matches since ball was gone, tank players and supports were more happy, now he’s back I’m already seeing sombras popping up (myself included) whenever a ball is in a match, supports are all going back to ana moira to deal with ball, and tank players don’t want to play tank because now they have to spend all game chasing a guy holding w until he has ult. Not to mention supports don’t have to chase a player doing nothing until they get ult which 9.9 times out of 10 gets zero kills

Never struggled against ball never had a bad ball on my team so i’m not too bothered with him being in.

he’s not hard to counter, go sombra and they switch 99% of the time or just cry in chat, he’s just annoying, not fun to fight because all he does is roll around until he has ult and not fun to have on your team because again he does nothing until he has ult and then gets no kills, he’s just a hero 99% of players hate being in matches
Again… never struggled with that either, I kill them on most of the heroes I play, and most of the WB’s i’ve had on my teams have been great at disruption while the dps and healers take the kills on the distracted enemies

The claim that a ball player isn’t a tank player is just odd. He has at least half the team looking at him while he’s being a pest, quite literally tanking them, plus making both supports and a DPS feel like they have to swap? That’s good value for anybody, surely.
Seems like a misunderstanding of what tanking is, it isn’t just barriers or standing in front of your group body blocking, the disruption and distraction he provides and the resources it takes to chase him down makes him quite effective at the role.
If his ult is getting 0 kills 9/10 times and he’s doing nothing, then why is he being chased in the first place? Surely he wouldn’t be?

Nothing screams skill issue louder than hating on ball, dudes one of the easiest targets in the game if you switch to Sombra for him “or at all tbh” it’s obvious to everyone else in the lobby you just can’t aim. there’s a reason the venn diagram of mercy Moira and Sombra players is a circle

he’s getting chased to stop him just rolling around all game and just rolling into you
I main Ball and most Sombras don’t annoy me at all. Only the ones that are actually good which are usually only the actual Sombra mains and not counterswappers. Not to mention she is one of the few heroes who gets banned even more than Ball does.
A much easier way to counter me is by going Cass or Junk and you don’t even have to be good at those heroes. Just stun/right click me or put a random trap down and I’ll probably roll into it eventually.
Anyway how some of y’all think Ball is more annoying to play against than some of the other tanks like Doomfist or Orisa is beyond me.

Reality: you all die in a 5v4 because your ball spends more time rotating to every health pack instead of doing anything.
I dunno about that. Ball travels at 999 MPH so there’s not actually that much downtime, plus there’s the upside that the enemy team can’t make use of any of the medkits that would normally be available to them.
I don’t put a lot of stock in the official stats page right now, but at this early stage, it seems that all the Ball players are climbing, and climbing fast. He has one of the highest win rates for tanks. Chances are good that if you get an actual Ball main and not someone trying to learn the critter in QP, you are going to win.
without ball you have no need for moira, torb, sombra anyway they are there for him

he can also slam and kill it without getting caught while being right on it, which is also ridiculous.
