No. I want to see all maps in casual gameplay and appreciate the art in all of them. This here is the same as asking for hero bans in QP. A competitive mindset feature.

I don’t think it’s the same as asking for hero bans.
If people want to enjoy the art style, they’ll vote for the maps. If they don’t vote for those maps, it’s clear they need a rework.
All I’m going to say is look at Hanamura. One of the most loved maps aesthetically. Same with HLC because of being the only outer space/not on earth map.
And yet if we had map votes in OW1 QP they would never get played on again.

Maybe? Those maps had like 5+ leavers almost every single time anyway but I see what you mean.
But that brings up another point; if you don’t like a map you can just leave with no penalty in the setup screen. The same is very much not the case comp. Yeah queue times become annoying but ehhh idk
It really depends how they are doing the map system for if the maps are played or not. In some systems they will still be played; just at a lower rate. Hopefully they go with an option like that. If it’s simply the crappy cod system, system of 10+ years ago anyways, idk if it’s changed. But if it’s pick 1 or 3 maps and map with most votes wins, then we will pretty much never see some maps.
Personally I’m in favour of them coming to qp assuming the system is quick to pick the map, and it’s a system where we will see actually play every map.
No. The way they’ve said is votes give a map a chance of being picked. If 6 people vote map a 3 people map b and 1 person map c, there’s a 60%, 30%, and 10% chance they get picked respectively
It’s not just popular vote; if a map is unpopular but gets voted it can still be picked. If NOBODY picks a map I think it can’t get picked at all? But I’m not 100% sure about that one

In that case I would love it to come to qp too then. Since all maps will still see play. I can see bans being comp only, but don’t really see a reason to not have a choice on maps at all in qp. And I’m someone who doesn’t leave just because it’s a mode I don’t like as much, but know plenty of people do that.
