Assault used to be my favourite game mode, and then it died. Now I like hybrid and escort, but we havent gotten new hybrid or escort maps since launch of 2, instead 2 KOTH maps, which are cool, BUT

Yea, I feel like assault, escort and hybrid are the real game maps. Control barely qualifies at this point, while Flashpoint and Push belong in Arcade.

Don’t you guys/gals love pushing?. so we came up with another mode that called Push. Except u have to push the bot instead of cart. How amazing is that?. Let’s clap our hands to the brilliant staff that came up with this innovative and brilliant mode.

Tried to give push the benefit of the doubt when OW2 first came out but i couldn’t stand the damn game mode after a while

Honestly i thought they would come up something new. Since u know they are Blizzard who has top of the class staff. Instead they come up with Push a mode similar to Payload Race from TF2 and Flashpoint similar to 5cp.
I wished they came up with a mode that is not pushing something or standing & defending on a dot.
Eh they had top of the class stuff at one time. Maybe things will change under Microsoft but ole Bobby killed off most of the innovative folks.
Ngl I thought the Gothenburg map from the Invasion ‘PVE’ was going to be a new escort map eventually, but apparently it was designed to be 2cp? Rip lol.

TBH they never had any innovative folks. They are good at copying. They were atleast known for quality but not anymore. They are greedy are rotten to the core. The only reason Blizzard is going is because of they loyal fans.
What’s an example of a unique, innovative core game mode that you think could be added?
Something that never has been done before or something that has been done before but isn’t used in any or many games.
I don’t know the history of payload mode. I don’t know if other game had it. When i first played the goldrush map i loved every secs of it. Although i hate the loading bit. Then came badwater basin a map with zero loading and a massive map.
It had ramps and what not. OW maps are just plain with nothing in it. They should take a look at TF2 maps.
In Blizzard case any mode that doesn’t involve pushing or standing on a point. I would consider that a innovative.
So in essence you don’t know. Probably because all of the good ideas have already been done. There’s no such thing as a unique and innovative new mode that is also functional within the Overwatch format.
escort is better than push…honestly push needs ot be sent ot the shadow realm to be never seen again
