Can we get a Reinhardt skin that Features a Sword?

Now, I’m partial to the Blackhardt butcher’s hatchet myself, but I know that many of my fellow Crusaders would love to carry a sword with them.

I think more variety in weapons would be an awesome way to make each Reinhardt skin feel really unique and special.

I want one of those too but I was more thinking about claymores when I wrote this.

I want a spear too but that’s not going to work with swing motions so a naginata is a great idea.

He neither has a sword nor a naginata. Wujing does have a combat shovel though.

Icicles are stabbing weapons though.
Besides, it’d melt after every Firestrike.

Sword probably won’t happen because they’d have to change the swing animation and the 3rd person idle animation on Reinhardt. He can’t be gripping the sword near its tip.

I want rein to have a skin where he has a gun but he just beats people with instead of shooting it.

Have a mid-blade handle. Anime buster blades have that all the time.

Also while looking for a picture, I learned that leather blade gripes were a thing. So that could also work

He can if the give it two handles, besides, grabbing your own blade is a legitimate tactic in European sword fighting.

Although, I actually think the whole changing the animation thing is more likely, and could be why its been a while since Rein got a skin.

Then the appearance of the actual sword is too long.

While it is a legit tactic, that second handle tends to be about a hand or two above the hilt. Adding a handle near the top of the blade would look silly, and if we were to ignore that, then the blade of the sword would be too long and wouldn’t match the hurtbox of the weapon.

Also, twohanding a sword by the blade tends to be a defensive measure, a way to block.
