Very few heroes actually have hard counters, don’t scapegoat this to the Flankers.
By “most other characters” it’s realistically like 5-6 real hard counter matchups.
The majority of the counters in this game give you a slight edge, but rarely any will absolutely force a swap or lose
That’s not enough to change their gameplay if their kit wasn’t fully hit.
Because everywhere is on another game playing something that isn’t relevant to Overwatch. They know how this game balance is.
Which makes my point even better. Because those who have whined already been reworked into something worst. Have Tracer and Genji ever gotten a rework or something that hit their gameplay extremely hard? No because there isn’t anything to whine about except counters especially those who had them on the ropes.
Heh yeah and guess what happen to those counters? Their kits got tweaked so they wouldn’t give him too much of a problem. If anything the Genji was bad at swapping or adapting.

Don’t include Brigitte in the list since she was made to counter an entire meta and not just Genji.
Tracer has 5th worst win rate in the game and even at GM she is only the 8th worst but it pretty quiet compared to lots of other heroes.
The PTR has TONS of buffs to all other DPS heroes so I think there is lots to whine about cause it going to get worse
Genji cant outrun the winston if the Winston is stupid. If the genji survived then the genji is good. If the genji escaped the Brig or respected the Brig then the Genji was good or the Brig did her job by denying space for the genji to work with. Genji doesnt need anymore nerfs even if its a character.

It’s obvious there aren’t as many people playing overwatch as before, I’m speaking of the people that are still playing this game.
There’s no “cloud in my head trying to find the light for answers” if anything there’s an annoying mosquito buzzing around trying to whisper things in my ears that I know, through statistical and logical reasoning, aren’t true.
That’s not how nerfs or buffs work. But okay, sure.
He is still countered by Ana, Ashe, Briggs, Mei, Moira, Sombra, and Winston (off the top of my head). Just under 33% of the roster can still counter Genji. If you have that much of a problem with him, I suggest learning any of those 7 heroes.
He is balanced and he is, at this point, probably used as a base for balancing other heroes. That doesn’t mean they are balanced to cater to him.
They want him to be difficult to play and difficult to counter well, doesn’t mean it is impossible. Sounds like a user error, not a design problem.
Edit: With the addition of Roadhog, Pharah, and Torb, it is actually exactly 33% of the roster. You have a whole 1/3 of the cast to practice if he bugs you.
Roadhog and Pharah are also soft counters to him, Torbjorn as well due to his turret being able to deny Genji space and make blades a decent notch harder, since it is generally a harder task for him to get rid of Torbjorn’s turret than most DPS.
Torbjorn is a really underrated anti-flank character. The turret makes it really hard to do your job.

Very true, the turret wittles down Flanker’s HP quite nicely due to it’s auto-aim capabilities.
If Genji tries to get rid of it he either has to peek and hide while firing shurikens or get up close and risk losing 70-100HP trying to kill it.
Another two, although I’m not truly 100% on, would be Zarya and Lucio. Zarya’s beam can be charged up to 190DPS, combined with her high health pool and the ability to ignore deflect, along with the sustainability of her bubbles, she can easily melt Genjis.
Lucio can displace him and make it more annoying for him to do his job, while also being speedy, hard to hit, and able to heal himself and other people. His Boop also counters Dragonblade quite well and so does his Sound Barrier.
Lucio might be more annoying after the knock back changes on PTR go live too.
