Think about it: having a map in Paris with a bunch of iconic locations. A payload map passing by the Eiffel Tower, or maybe even a control point map (KOTH) that has objectives under the Eiffel Tower, in the Louvre Pyramid, and Notre Dame.

Yeah but deathmatch isn’t a base mode. It’s not even one someone would want to play all the time. It’s more of a practice game mode. Sadly it encourages you to just kill, so when those deathmatch players go back to the normal game they think like a Reaper.
You are preaching to the choir. I want Blizzard to stop with the arcade nonsense and give us/update real maps. Lul.
Honestly, I’d rather see some less known places. Go with some originality, a city or a country we haven’t seen (in a long time) in video games.

Most of those are kinda…eh…undeveloped, war-driven countries.
I don’t know what countries are and aren’t used in games, though.
But not necessarily in 2070s. Devs can just come up with anything, like Numbani.
I’m sure they could make another, there’s the black forest map and eichenwalde and there’s the necropolis map and temple of anubis, there’s also the castillo map and dorado, i’m sure they could double dip with a second map.
No doubt. That being said, the precedent is reversed. Those arcade maps were based on preexisting maps where Chateau will have released before the hypothetical Paris. Nothing would be stopping them, however.

Why should it always be capital of countries that should be maps? Is it so we can see its that country?
I like how Eichenwalde is in Germany and yet it looks nothing like modern Germany. I like how Cheteau is a small island and not Paris. And I would hate to play in New York just for the sake of seeing the Statue of Liberty.

I don’t understand what you mean by that, if you’re asking what the paris map is then it’s the deathmatch map chateau guillard, if you’re asking the hypothetical question of what map it could be then i’m guessing a hybrid map.

But most games tends to want to have capitals as maps in the games. I’m glad Overwatch doesn’t has that.

This is mainly because most of the maps don’t exist in real life (Junkertown isn’t a real place in Australia),
Hanamura - Not the capital - It’s Tokyo
Horizon - It’s the moon for heaven’s sake
Temple of Anubis - not the capital, it’s Cairo
Volskaya Industries - not a real place
Blizzard World, Route 66, Hollywood - not the capital, the capital of the US is Washington DC.
Eichenwalde - I don’t think it’s a real place
King’s Row - It is most likely the capital because it has Big Ben, and that’s located in London, the capital of England.
Numbani - not a real place
Busan - not the capital, Seoul is the capital of South Korea.
Ilios - not a real place
Lijiang Tower - not a real place
Nepal - this is literally an entire country
oasis - not a real place
Dorado - not the capital nor a real place, capital is Mexico City
Junkertown - not a real place
Rialto - it’s a bridge IRL, but not a city.
Watchpoint Gibraltar - not a real place
So the only capital is King’s Row, in London.
