smilar to apex and not only games but also softwares, there is always a dev plan and a dev tracker, where you see what is the team working on and so ? it would also make a lot of questions disappear since we have answers for them.
bug fixes
skins
maps
patches
events
with no big spoilers
a suggested time line
a reason why a project was cancelled
maybe an integrated test field in aracade mode

Actually not that bad of an idea. Maybe not too many spoilers, but just enough to know that we are actually getting content to look forward to.

i think it would make people appreciate goals like quality of life projects for overwatch and we would know if they worked on something and it got canceled, so we know how come we didnt get anything. and it would be nice if we see like reasons for canceled things it will keep us indirectly in touch with the gameplan.
Instead of creating an elaborate system to anticipate what they will do. Why not
✅ Balance Hotfix directly to Quickplay

they do not have to say we are working on 6 legendary skins for junkrat and they are yellow colored they can say we are working on 6 legendary skins
yah I love trackers like that because even if it doesn’t change in progress we at least know what is going to happen. since we can see other things moving we know at least SOME work is being done.
Even just a bug tracker like some games do would be amazing
Similar to apex, like you mean when they insulted their own community or?
I dont really think they’d do it, since this community’s pretty not that great and how they doesnt really use the forums either.
Specially times like this.
who is talking about insulting communites ? we are talking about a dev tracker …
no wonder this community is not so great we are talking about a dev tracker and you jumping to something completely different, trashing a good idea with your negative vibes
Aren’t 3 years of the same enough to make a conclusion?
Don’t let your dreams be dreams…
this year it is not the same, a lot of content has been pushed back … and we also had to figure out what changes the chrachters got because it was not written in the patch info … and it is always good to know what they are working on… as far as i know we should have had halloweed already
In the game industry, everyone just make up lies all the time. Also does it really makes it better with whatever excuse they will come up with?
Apparently not on the game and anything outside it is “top secret” until released.
I actually really like this idea. I don’t know if we will actually get one though since its been 3 years since release but they could always prove us wrong.

this does not solve the core problem of balance patches being slow to be released/announced and we can go over a month without hearing anything from them.
It kinda does solve the problem, if they can do a balance patch in 7 days, instead of 3-8 weeks.
@ Superninja they released role q, we never thought that was possible, if we ask for this a lot and push it up the forums. it might happen, it will also solve the problem with people saying devs do not communicate.
@greyfalcon 7 days thats way way way way too short i think 4 weeks should be minimum

Why should we have to go through bad metas for a month, when they could fix it, in a couple days?
i think you are underestimating the work that goes into writing a bug free code, that does the job
That’s why this is only intended for simple changes that won’t cause bugs.
I would say something about this forum as a whole but nah ill just say there is no way the devs look at this forum. They probably listen to reddit more than the people here. Most of you know why lol
