Is there any confirmed way to earn credits in OW2?
Doesn’t seems like it and the name itself implies that.
The way to earn credits used to be on lootboxes, either as direct drop, or by dropping duplicates.
There are no more lootboxes. All credits are bought with real money now.
Nobody knows yet - have to wait for Blizz to reveal their whole hand
I think during the Halloween Event, we should have a good idea on how they plan to run their in-game economy, at least until PVE releases (like whether major events will give coin rewards, skin challenge events, if other items end up being purchasable with legacy coins)
yep the only way you could get them was loot boxes. you cant even buy lootboxes anymore so by only by playing is the way to earn them. i would get on and try to farm them but im too lazy lol
It doesn’t sound like it to me. Instead, it sounds like you’ll need to use Overwatch 2 Virtual Currency™ for any cosmetics once your supply of OW1 credits run out, for either old skins or for new skins. You’d think that if it was possible to get credits in OW2, it would have been mentioned in the same article that gave us more details about what you can buy with credits in OW2.
It talks about what you can buy with credits and Overwatch 2 Virtual Currency™, and that weekly challenges grant Overwatch 2 Virtual Currency™, but not a word about earning basic credits in this brave new world.
Maybe we can still get them as the role queue bribes
And I hear you on the farming. I can’t bring myself to grind OW1 for creds either.

From what it sounds like, no. It’s going to be the premium currency earned.
Legacy credits are just coins but more limited. Not much reason to continue to award them. And eventually I imagine they’ll remove the currency entirely.
Legacy credits? Done after the 2nd pretty much. You have what you’re holding after that point. You’ll earn the ow2 currecny from weekly/dailys.
