Can we do something about losing games due to leavers?

noticed you went quiet after that one

I guess he had nothing else to add after realizing he wasn’t saying anything that contributed to the original post.

(i know this an old post but humor me) I think you have comp twisted. It’s to learn more advanced mechanics you will never learn spamming quickplay all day everyday. Because (at least half of the time) you’ll have other teammates with a common goal, to win, and if not win then learn something, gg, go next, improve. I’m gonna have to disagree on you with comp having longer queue times though. At least on PC, I’ve seen DRASTICALLY reduced times in comp vs QP. I can tell you this right now as well, there’s a large part of the comp player base that enjoys the longer match factor for payload maps. It’s also fairer in my opinion because in comp there will be times you couldn’t make it to the end, or hell even the first line on the CP, and you hold them back just as hard if not harder and win because of it.

Id be absolutely be INFURIATED if I joined a COMP GAME ESPECIALLY mid match. DUMBEST IDEA.

That’s why it would need to be opt in.

Players like you could choose to not opt in while players like myself, who knows what it’s like to be on the losing side because of a leaver more than once, would 100% opt in.

It would be fair that the match ends in a draw, and all players are given a priority queue. Internally, the players are then rematched, if possible, with new players filling the gaps.

It is effectively backfill, with the promise of a fair rematch.

Blizzard dont know how to manage their games sadly, they only focus on skins and money, thats why their games are garbage.

They should add no penalty backfill, where if you win you take the win if you lose the loss doesnt count as you were backfilled, then at least you can have a chance of rebalancing teams.

They could do something.
They could not pound you down with a huge MMR penalty when 4 people leave.
But that would require Blizzard to care about the consumussy.
