I dunno about outplaying Pro’s but uh… the strat definitely works in plat. Held first point Anubis for nearly 6 minutes by just setting up on the high ground and communicating when to teleport around as a team.

And it makes sense, really. Bastion’s biggest weakness is the fact that he’s stationary in turret mode. Sym teleporter practically negates that, and offers an instant escape from any large threat that tries to take the group on directly.

You don’t need this strat to beat GOATS in Plat, considering most folks in Plat can’t run GOATS well enough to be unbeatable. As long as you have a high-damage hero like Junk, Bastion, Pharah, or Reaper, and an Ana, you can nearly any comp you want and be able to beat GOATS in Plat

I’ll believe that this kind of comp works when it shows up on ladder and is routinely beating GOATS comps that aren’t made up of people not playing their typical heroes (as the dude notes in like… the first 30 seconds or so).

You mean… Switching off of Genji??

They also made a video based on the meme comp Atlanta Academy used vs a Symmetra GOATS comp after they’d already won the match 3-0. Not sure I trust it given their capability for ignoring context and obvious performance differences.
