Can we ask for longer AFK timer and no kick system?

I hate to say it but the whole AFK system in Overwatch 2 is bad. I wanted to see a newly implemented AFK system which is not even close like the original in the original Overwatch, which includes the fact that the game throws you out after not 2 minutes, not 1 and a half minute, no. It shows that you are inactive after 55 SECONDS OF AFK TIME. If I die mid fight, and want to go to the toilet, I CAN’T BECAUSE IF I COME BACK I’LL SEE AN INNACTIVITY COUNTER WHICH TELLS ME THAT I WAS KICKED BECAUSE I WAS INNACTIVE.
I ONLY and I repeat, I ONLY want this system to be implemented in COMPETITIVE because there is literally no reason to be kicked out of the game, nobody will join instead of me if I leave, they will have to continue the game with player number disadvantage.
Anyways the only thing I’d gladly see in the future is the AFK system being improved in Competitive, in Casual it’s somewhat accurate that if someone AFKS, then there will be somebody in his place after he was kicked out by the system.
Thank you all for your attention dear Blizzard.

I cannot reply to your post for reasons. Good luck

Why are you AFK in a ranked match…

Just like I’ve said, basic human needs like going on a toilet exists and will exist…

You could go before the match or after.

Or just play quick play.

“Can we ask for longer AFK timer and no kick system?”

Bro, are you for real??? I have lost countless competitive games thanks to the idiots that are still in spawn when the game starts. Do you have any understanding of how impactful the first minute of a match is towards determining who wins or loses? If anything, they should shorten the AFK kick time, something I’ve been saying long before reading your inane post.

Might I suggest getting some diapers, along with a dose of reality, and call it a day.

What are these responses? The dude has a right to go the the bathroom, even mid game. And it will change nothing if the guy stay afk for 100 years on the match as the no one can fill his slot. So if he is in game or on the menu makes no difference what so ever, except for the fact the he can generate ultimate and not have to load in after coming back.

I guess I don’t, but at least I appreciate your empathy. They have their points as well, it’s true.

Go back to Fortnite.

lol all these people responding must be top 500 players… what a bunch of inconsiderate human beings. Basic human needs happen… You cant tell me none of you have ever raced to the bathroom to take a piss or race to get a drink right after you die… How about someone rings your doorbell… Literally cant even run to the door to sign for a package real quick or your booted. You should at minimum be able to load back into your game…

I had a graphics glitch where I could hear overwatch i was still in the game etc… but video was frozen I spent a minute trying to resolve it before restarting when I came back I couldnt rejoin my game because it afk’d me out since I spent 55 seconds trying to resolve the frozen video versus just hard booting right away.

There are way to many scenarios where the timer is too short if they are not going to let you back in the game.

then dont queue for ranked, its not that hard do your business and then do your business irl…afk bait gets reported on my watch even in quick play…we get that people have lives…but maybe dont queue and waste the other people time who want to win <3

I kinda agree but not for the bathroom stuff. High level reasoning would ask why kick anybody out of the game for any reason if there’s no replacement.

I get in the beginning there could be startup issues or what ever or maybe afk before the game starts.

But mid game if someone has to answer the door or just life in general… why give the boot? Let’s not forget there was an rejoin issue, so why even risk it?

he could do it during since adult diapers do exist

Can’t believe blizzard havent done anything with this huge issue, like were robots and dont have human needs from time to time, i just got thrown out of a game and got 1 hour ban for taking a piss… and now my team will lose because blizzard is retarded and cant seem to see the issue or gain the iq to fix it.

rofl this has to be a troll post. You think it’s ok to go to the pisser during a competitive match? Use the restroom before you enter the match

Stop going to the bathroom in the middle of a competitive match loser. Play quick play instead

Can we ask for you to go to the toilet before queuing for games?

And to stop going for piss breaks whilst dead, going AFK in the process?

No? Dayum.

This is a huge problem, not only for the people who has to take a short Wc break, if you lose internet connection it might take a few mins before it comes back… i just had one now and i had to figure out what happened and it came back online after i restartet my Pc. So the AFK timer needs to be fixed, so many people lose games becuse of this and it just ads to the reasons why there is 0 point in playing this game, after broken matchmaking and unbalanced characters. Really wish they could RE- launch overwatch 1 instead of coming out with this crap… i give this 6 more months before it’s dead again… its alrdy going downhill.

it is important to maintain fairness and balance in the game. In a competitive match, every player is important and losing even one player can significantly impact the outcome of the game. By implementing a longer AFK timer, players will have more time to attend to real-life emergencies or situations that require them to be away from their computer for a short period of time, without risking being kicked out of the game.

At the same time, removing the kick system in competitive matches can also be argued for. In a competitive match, losing a player can be detrimental to the entire team, and removing the kick system can ensure that players are not unfairly removed from the game due to a technical glitch or connectivity issue. Instead, the system could be adjusted to allow players who are inactive for an extended period of time to be replaced by another player, maintaining a fair and competitive game for all.

Overall, the argument could be made that a longer AFK timer and no kick system in competitive matches can help to ensure that players have a fair and balanced gaming experience, while also allowing for some flexibility in real-life situations.
