The trap is there for a reason, they should not be able to dash and blink through it.
I thought it did grab them? IDK about blink though but does SS break the trap before it grabs him or something?
dash doesn’t go through …
I think we should first discuss how the heck it traps Zenyatta.
As a monk he’s so mortified that someone would use a bear trap on someone else that he gets depressed and stops moving.
Genji is able to bypass trap completely if he jumps and dash completely without the trap being able to catch them. Same with Tracer as well.
Additionally, the radius and vertically for the trap to actually trigger isn’t actually that big. So Tracer and Genji have a large margin to actually dash through.
This can be often consistently seen in FFA and sometimes comp as well. FFA is where this happens a lot because you’re often on the 1 vs 1 scenario but it does happens outside of it as well.
Potential bug or latency issue?
The traps are magnetic.
No, this actually is a thing. The vertical trigger isn’t that high, so a tracer or Genji that jumps and dash can actually by pass it quite easily.
Neither of them do that
They literally cant. The trap literally jumps upwards like a spring loaded frog and catches them if they pass over it at any point
Ok and I’ve forgot how it works overall because I haven’t play him in a few months now. Good to know.
I Genji is high enough that he doesn’t trigger the trap then, so what?
It does trigger if he dashes through it at ground level.
That or he’s stuck wondering how this even works.
The point of the trap and buff is meant to catch those who actually tries to pass the trap.
That the two heroes that trap are specifically meant to catch, can by pass them simply by jumping, kind of defeats the purpose of trap in the first place.
They nerfed Genji so he couldn’t go through traps over 2 years ago.
Blink doesnt go through
No it doesn’t. Why must a trap have such a high vertical hitbox?
This guy seems to want the trap to traverse time/space in all directions with limitless range to trap people.
How about we just get rid of their extra base movement speed that’s totally superfluous and stupid to begin with
