Specifically the 10th Gen Intel Core i5 with Integrated Graphics.

looking for a laptop for Home/School use and was wondering if it could run Overwatch? It’s the only game I play and I was asking because I know nothing about PCs/Laptops so I came here for help.

Would I be able to play with at least 50-60 fps? Or would it be too slow and too much even with the lowest settings? Is there a better laptop I should buy for this? My budget is 600$ USD.

Thank you

I have the same processor. It can run overwatch at 30-40 FPS at the lowest settings. 720 50% render scale. Not a pleasant experience but playable. Look for the A515–54G model. That one has MX graphics. Or 55G, 56G.

the computer can run at 50-60fps at low settings but I think this laptop

may perform better and is a bit over your budget but there are some renewed ones at a much lower price and it could get you at about 100-120 fps instead of 60

Go for a laptop with a dedicated gpu, or you won’t be able to play the game at 60 FPS.

I have this laptop. On low settings you can get anywhere from 30-60 FPS (60 is if you’re really lucky that day), which is why I still play on console

Yeah I think might go with the laptop you suggested since others have pointed out that the Acer is only gonna get around 30 fps even on low settings. Thanks for the help! I just hope the laptops still in stock when I buy it later next month

edit: nvm? People are now saying asus is worse

This’d be better:

It can run it.

It just can’t run it very well. You’re going to have a bad time.

Acer is way better than Asus. Asus is trash.
Edit: for prebuilts. Asus is fine for components. But if you’re buying a laptop, obviously you want an Acer… coming from a guy who owns 3 Acer laptops

Integrated graphics are never good for gaming, especially an FPS where precision is needed. I’d raise your budget a bit and get something with at least a dedicated video card. Not a stickler for brand, but don’t do integrated graphics.

The new Iris XE integrated graphics are supposed to be quite good but I would go for MX graphics anyway because laptops with them aren’t that much more expensive

Yes, but not very well.

This game really don’t like integrated GPU (the one that isn’t NVIDIA or Radeon).
I would also check for RAM as well as a SSD storage. Both of them are god sent in my opinion, especially the SSD part. The crispy fast load time is something I can’t never live without.

So would you agree with Hulk that this

Is a good laptop?

Technically a vivobook like this

can render these results:

Yeah, it will run OW on lowest settings at max 60 fps.

The downside is that it WILL dipped below 60 to around… 30-40 during combat, which really sucks.

But that would be my honest opinion, and it could be wrong.
