I think it would be quite amusing to listen to some of the characters break the 4th wall

Well, Mercy breaks the fourth wall already…kinda.

You might not want to tell your friends about that! implies that she is talking to the player she just killed with a melee.

Currently we have some characters break the fourth wall, although all of these lines are currently unused in-game

Sombra: I wonder if I can hack the scoreboard (referring to the Comp Scoreboard)
D.va: Play. Of the game. (take a guess)
Bastion: Dooooo-Doo-Doo-Doooo-Doo-Doo-Doooooooo (he’s beeping the main OW theme)
I think there were other lines, but I forgot.

Sometimes Junkrat will mumble “and I thought I was supposed to be the comic relief” when there’s a Winston on his team during setup.

I feel like it would have to fit their personality so it doesn’t just fall flat. Think of deadpool as a good character for breaking the fourth wall.

Some people say the D.Va “don’t you think life is a game, Soldier: 76?” is a 4th wall break. I like to think of it as a sign that she has serious PTSD that she copes by imagining life that way, myself. :^)

would be cool to have either zen do it (third or like fiftieth eye open so he can see more) or a new hero that just breaks the fourth wall 24/7

I dunno if these are still implemented but d.va (and I think most others) has voicelines apparently for when she sees an enemy d.va:
D.Va: It’s me! Someone must be hacking.
D.Va: I hope we don’t get banned for this.

She says those sometimes when there are multiple D.Va’s on the same team, such as in No Limits.

Zarya has always been self aware that she’s in a video game. She says it’s only a game, why do you have to be mad? And she says in Russia game plays you.

I could’ve sworn I heard junkrat say his once or twice to an enemy rat awhile back

Yeah he says something along the lines of “Hey that guy looks just like me! Wait a minute…IT IS ME!” when he sees a enemy Junkrat, and he calls the Junkrat a imposter if he manages to land the final blow on him

Also Tracer has one quote as well for encountering herself on the same team. Except unlike everyone else breaking the 4th wall, the Tracers just think it’s a problem caused by the Chronal Accelerator, and that one of them is just a mirage.
