People are asking for Baptiste nerfs so that he doesn’t become meta. Baptiste is great burst and good shield break but his weaknesses are extremely obvious and exploitable.
His weaknesses are:
- baptiste has a larger hitbox than most Support heroes
- limited self healing
- very exploitable high jumps
- no mobility, only verticality.
- immortality field is weak hp wise,
- cooldowns are pretty easy to bait out if you’re smart.
- DB instantly deletes everything in the immortality,
- Sombra ez modes him,
- D.Va can apply insane pressure to him, all while eating damage bursts and heal nades
- Winston makes a mockery of Baptiste, especially because Baptiste can not escape winston and the bubble plus winston equals nightmare split focus. Bubble blocks Baptiste healing so well
- Genji is a reliable counter, and Dragonblade kills lamp in two slashes.
- Ashe can outplay him and her kit works very well vs his,
- Mei can work pretty well if she closes the distance, but Baptiste works well against Mei at range so it’s a fair fight.
- Soldier works extremely well vs Baptiste, and blue beam visor, Nano visor, or supercharged visor is a death sentence. Lamp does not last long enough to withstand visor.
