Can Pharah get some love?

It’s been the time since she was a problem. And Blizzard keeps treating her like a second citizen hero. There are never a mentions about her in developing updates or interviews or even in advert materials. Her short animation was canceled and there is not much insight about herself besides she is a soldier. Even Jeff said she was a very underrepresented character a year ago and still. Barrage is a completely joke in many situations “Justice rains fro… airghh”. As soon you press this button you can expect to be taken down.

Is practically impossible playing her above diamond due to her 200hp and her constant necessity of healing. At the moment you have all these heroes that counters her. Widow, Moira, Soldier, McCree, D.va and her rockets, Zenny, Sombra that disables her completely and without mentioning Ana and Tracer in some extent.

I really don’t know what are their plans for her but they seam not to care with her in this game. Let me know your thoughts. ( Post specially for PC players)

She needs her effectiveness to be level out first. Give her a buff, and she’ll be a must pick in low ranks.

I watched AimBotCalvin, on a GM level I believe, get off 5 Barrages in one match. Didn’t die to any. Just need to work with the team and play it smart.

“It’s been [a while] since she was a problem” is not a good reason to buff a character. Fewer problems in the game is a good thing.

Not to mention she is widely considered a problem on console (where you play her as a “one-trick”) and above average everywhere except Grandmaster league on PC.

All I want for Pharah is for her to be immune to damage from her own rockets - it sucks, and they fixed this very issue for Dva and Junkrat but not her :frowning:

I think a trade off would be good for her. Reduce her damage but give her more control in her flying so she can land better shots

Well you aren’t suppose to fire your rocket at that close. With Junkrat I can see why he has no self damage (anymore), but most of the time Pharah will be really really far away from her targets. Logically it doesn’t make any sense with the Junkrat thing but gameplay wise it does.

And beside, removing her self rocket damage would make a lot D.va players will come to Blizzard HQ with pitchforks and torches.

I would love to see Pharah being buffed so she doesnt require pocketing 24/7 but since Mercy exists, it gets really hard to deal with Pharah. Especially for lower ranks.

One idea I had was to increase the speed of the rockets but lower the damage (to like 100) making it easier to hit things from range.

Well a trick with Pharah against hitscans/snipers is to literally jump on top of them (using E and Shift) and propel yourself directly above them. Often times you are shooting close to them and take rocket damage so I understand where he was coming from.

But often times Pharah will use the damage for a rocket jump to get more air so you would be hurting that crowd of people by getting rid of it.

out of all the heroes in this game. i beleave shes one of the more closely most balanced heroes there is. sure she could use some minor tweeks and ajustments but over all shes good at what she does if shes played by someone that knows how to play her.

over all she could use a little love but at the same time. i feel shes in a good place right now and changing to much of her. would break her.

They don’t even die in OWL where there’s no chance of missing a single ulti and they always run Pharah counters whenever she is there.

If I die to my own rockets then it is because I was being sloppy (trying to drop on top of an enemy for a point blank shot because they were probably landing more shots than I was).

Outside of that though, I enjoy being able to damage myself with Pharah because in modes like Mystery Hero, I can opt to suicide and keep her when I know I’m about to die rather than give up a good hero. :joy::joy:

I don’t know how you dudes mange to play Pharah. In my games I sometimes see 4, and I mean FOUR Widowmaker mains on the SAME TEAM. Not even kidding.

Are you playing her on good Pharah maps?

Or trying to play her on all maps?
