Before someone jump at me, I don’t report this people, I don’t find it toxic but when ingame and I see someone writing ‘‘you should do that, you did wrong this’’ when I didn’t ask for any coaching I find it extremely annoying.
I dunno why people feel the urge to do that. Even more annoying if is someone with a private profile saying that. (but this happen rarely, most of times come from masters in qp)
Just stop doin that, you’re simply annoying.

especially in QP lol, like just focus on yourself

I find it even worse when people just point out that their teammates made a mistake and offer nothing.
It’s like… Yeah? They already knew, thanks for being a bit of a jerk I guess?

annoying or not, if someones legit coaching you in your comp games be happy because that cost money lol
its not something id do, but i dont think its bad to do it either
if you can coach your team to a win, why wouldnt you? lol
They’re trying to be the “in game leader” and if they’re any good at it, you and much of this community would start winning more games if you’d listen to them.
If they’re bad at it, then it’s on you to realize it quickly. Either way, that’s why they’re “coaching” you usually.

“Oh, I just need to be better at the game. Why didn’t I think of that”

I only find it annoying, If I want someone pointing all my mistakes I ask, ingame is legit the worst moment ever
that’s the issue , you don’t know at all if they’re good at it.
this time sorry but can’t read trough your sarcasm

like i said annoying or not its free, while you dont know if they are actually good. following what they say for a game isnt going to kill you
the problem im seeing alot of is that people want teamwork but they never want to follow someone elses lead
id need to see actual examples of things ppl said before i could go on a case to case basis and say if they were wrong but the idea is if you work as a team you have an easier time even if what they say is stupid

I need to find a new way to present “thoughts”

Or my go to response -
Going in depth on what a mistake is and how people commonly make mistakes. It really tends to catch people off guard lol
It’s always easier to see someone else’s mistakes than your own. But in the middle of the game is never the best time to point those things out. You just make that person self conscious and they tend to make even more mistakes. So, even if you are right and even if the intention is good, it’s not helpful.

Jokes on you I ignore everyone’s mistakes but my enemies and my own because my brain isn’t big enough to keep track of all that

That I get. But people report me for saying “group up”.

For me it’s much easier to notice in replay anyway. During the match, I’m focusing too much on trying to play my own game.
And if someone wants to do a VOD review with me, like genuinely wants to be helpful sure, but not mid-game. That’s just a distraction.

Really? What sad little people if they truly do that.
I don’t believe anyone can play the game effectively while also actively coaching with enough detail and availability to answer follow up questions to actually be worth the trade off. They can’t play their own game while watching every micro decision another player makes. That and they risk tilting the player who didn’t ask for it.
Shotcalling can be very effective if people are willing to be lead but coaching while playing? Nah I don’t think that’s a thing and isn’t something anyone would pay for. Effective coaching is done from somebody spectating or reviewing replays and guiding the player while challenging their bad habits.

Not to mention that the “coach” is in the same rank as you. So, presumedly they aren’t better than you are.

that depends on what the coaching is
for instance tellin a tank to take the highground from the enemy team is a valid thing to ask for but its technically coaching them to play the game a lil bit better
by forcing ppl off high ground the tank makes it harder for the enemy team to play the game while giving your ranged heroes better positions to fire from
having someone micromange you could be distracting but telling you where to hold or when to ult could get you to win that game
but due to how people react to this type of stuff i dont do it. ive seen with my own two eyes a support BEG the tank to take high ground on maps like eichenwald and have the tank say its someone elses job
at that point id rather lose the game so this person doesnt climb any higher. lol
No, they told me they’ve hit rank 50. Surely they’re telling the truth.

I’m incredibly self critical so I can’t do that at all
