I can’t watch the replay, can you briefly explain what happened in the match? Are they just pulling you for no reason off cooldown?
I try to only use it if my tank or ally is in the middle, losing HP fast, and are critically low or CC’ed. But sometimes, they die and my Life Grip just grabs someone else and I don’t want it to. So on the other end, I’d like it to stop prioritizing another target if the one I initially used it on died.
I’ve never encountered a trolling lifeweaver.

No. The ability becomes useless if you add any type of manual cancel.

Movement abilities cancel it.
