Can I run Overwatch on Linux? Without ban?

Hello! I know that this question has been asked years ago, but if I wanted to play Overwatch through Wine/Lutris/Proton (for example on a stream deck) would I have anything to worry about? I’m asking again, because it’s been quite a while, and I just wanted to make sure it was safe.

There were reports of many users being caught in a banwave at some point 2 years ago, and while they were unbanned, I don’t want to even attempt to risk losing my account.

Please could you give a quick update if playing on Linux is bannable?

No worries about ban. Lutris/Proton or whatever is just translating this Windows game to work on Linux. No hacks or against Blizzard’s terms of use.

I played a lot of OW1 in its final days on Linux. A bit of OW2 as well. It runs fine and is better than on Windows (in my experience).
