Why is she the only character people seem committed to nerfing because of a specific way people play her?
It baffles me why Moira would be considered deserving a change to get rid of DPS Moiras, but something like Battle Mercys or Healer Soldiers are hardly considered in the same regard for balance. You won’t climb very high with any of them.
At the very least most of said posts are attempting to buff her overall, yet just come out as a net nerf.
The posts don’t tend to be that common but it’s only Moira I ever see such things proposed. (Except that one person who didn’t want any healers dealing damage.)
I’m not angry or fed up or even disappointed, just confused. Is there any particular reason why Moira is the target?

because alot of people play moira to dps less than to heal.
(not that i agree with the dumb idea though)

The amount of DPS Moira players are likely higher than Battle Mercy players or Healer 76 players.

Yesterday we had a dps moira, it was working for round one then the enemy stopped goofing and changed the comp. We started to get slaughtered and then our other healer just said ‘yo moira can you heal for a change.’ then the moira says ‘oh yeah.’ then she started healing. The moira was telling our orisa to hold still while he healed. I think the dude might’ve been playing with 16k+ dpi.
Because people get salty about the way her beam works and think it’s cheese.
The second a character is “easy” (aka low skill floor) people don’t want them to be viable higher up, while others don’t want to learn to counter, and others dont want her on their team because of a playstyle (the infamous DPS Moira)
When people want to buff her you have to try to balance it out so it’s not OP, meaning you’re gonna lose something to gain something like for instance gaining utility. Though some people overdo their ideas.

I do not know but i don’t agree with the nerf.
The forum is basically “nerf x hero, blizzard are bad at their job, delete hero” nothing exciting or interesting happening here.

In my experience, the amount of DPS Moiras are higher than Battle Mercies, Healer Soldiers and DPS Soldiers combined. 
Still no reason for a nerf though. Actually lately I’ve been seeing a ton of amazing healing Moiras carrying games with like 15K heals per 10.

You don’t have to nerf DPS Moira… she’s already handicapping her team. Even if you’re having trouble with her, DPS Moira is usually an overall huge detriment to a team (especially in 2-2-2) compared to a team with two people actually healing.
Moira no hard aim so kill all dmg 
It’s what it is. When blizzard took away auto lock, they also conceded that aim is a factor they consider for viability. Symm was a support but that didn’t merit defense.
Moira isn’t the only one either. Note that tankish brig , which was her literal job has been whole eliminated. She now has 50 shields that regen a bit faster than zen. But brig no aim so even tho she was never a statistical issue in ladder , she needs to be changed.
Moira will get her rework I’m guessing. But until it’s an issue in owl, it’s not too of the list I imagine.
Because the other 2 aren’t really that common.
Also if moira is mostly used as dps, then that means she is too efficient as such.
Zen is also a dps healer but the difference is, he can do both at the same time but moira dpsing is just hurting the team.
