Ults should.

Just like Genji’s deflect shows it.

sure just add more salt to the mines.
In all seriousness no, we know you ate it, you know you ate it, your reward is your team doesn’t have to deal with it and we get on with playing a game where seeing if allies or enemies are alive or not is more important then your pat on the back for pressing ‘e’

last time something like that happened (mercy rez) people started to realize how many people were being brought back

you get the picture.

This is such a DVA main thing to ask for lol.

That’s why she talks when she does it.

Genji’s deflect shows it if he gets a kill with it. DVa eating an ult doesn’t kill anyone, it just deletes the ult.

I’m not a DVA main and i want it.

Sure its a pat on the back for the DVA player but its something that’s easy to miss if they are not in voice chat.

I should show “dva (DM icon) ultimate” i think that would help a lot in mid fights

Sorry i should have been more clear.

I meant it shows the same way. [DVA icon] [player name] [ult swallowed]

This just looks like a request to rile people up against Defense Matrix again. The only way this would be fair is if it included everything blocked by shields and Zarya’s bubbles. Yes, Pharah’s barrage and Whole Hog have been denied by timely shields from other tanks. Same for Tac Visor, RIP Tire, Meteor Strike, and Self Destruct. For Zarya in particular, this includes Dead Eye, Dragonstrike, Blizzard, and Pulse Bomb.

Do we really need all this “ultimate ability denied” spam on a feed that should really be limited to announcing who died and who was revived?

Yes because if a zarya graved and dva ate it everyone should know, that’s just useful info, not everyone hears it

Playing D.Va people just kinda expect you to do certain stuff like charging down the Pharah ult and eating grav. Don’t expect any thanks for it.

Can we just keep the kill feed limited to deaths and resurrections instead of lumping in things like this? It’s only going to be absurdly cluttered. There’s only a limited amount of space in the kill feed and DM would take up all of it.

You’re just cranky someone read you too well, lol~

I don’t understand why people are making this out to be something D.Va mains want to get “pats” when I think it’d be great for communication? I’m not always immediately aware I ate an ult with DM, and my team is often confused after hearing the line as well. I think showing ults would be a nice QoL change.

Some teams don’t know a dva ate it and so they gtfo of there.

I can see credibility in this. As a DVA main, it is a nice ego boost, but I don’t play DVA all the time, and I don’t always know if the DVA on my team successfully ate an ult I was trying to not get killed by, and end up leaving a fight needlessly. Also, the live server bug I’ve been experiencing where not all ult voice lines or audios go off makes this actually feel more needed than it should be. If I can see that an ult was eaten that I never heard audio for, that’s still valuable information to me.

I don’t think getting a card for eating eating a bunch of ults would be a bad idea. I know in one match I blocked 4 Hanzo ults and 2 McCree ults.

I mean, Sombra can get a card for hacking.
