This is classic Dunning-Kruger (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect)
Keep in mind some people on this forum have jobs installing, configuring and maintaining networking equipment and know TCP/IP down to the datagram level.
What are your qualifications to state that these people are wrong.

Happy to wade through the doco? That isn’t even the RFC and that page I sent you to is networking 101 to many people including me and I don’t even do network admin professionally. I’m sure there are many on this forum who’s knowledge about the intricacies of TCP/IP UDP etc dwarf mine.
